    One of those will win

kargese best handicapped horse in training off 139?

    Gino now 164, majborough 162?

A jade du grugy win on Thursday gives the owner a runner in the mares hurdle. Freeing up the county for kargese to win with Paul on her back.

I'd be happy with Kargese or Valgrand

She'll be well suited to how the County is run as well at a strong pace. I think she's very little chance in the mares over that trip and the way she races

        • I don't think Kargese has the same amount of progression available as the likes of Sir Gino and Majborough so their rating now is irrelevant. Ultimately they beat her fairly handily and she won the Punchestown grade 1 which hasn't worked out well. I doubt she ends up in the County and if she does, I think Paul picks a couple in front of her anyway.

                  Have you remortgaged yet?

If he wins you won't even get to the sock in time.

                  • Does Kopeck need another run to qualify?

                      • Thanks Denman I could only find 4. Now I have looked at it again he's not regarded as a Novice due to a previous win in France. Getting to grips with these new rules can get you tied up in knots.

She has plenty of scope for improvement

Mainly from settling better in a big field with a very strong pace

Every run last season features took keen hold or pulled hard

If they can bury her behind horses and get her to settle shes chucked in

she was good enough to win at the DRF and punchestown in grade 1s plus finishing 2nd at Cheltenham and aintree whilst pulling like a mad man

What will happen if she does settle

Bolts in leaving this french thing holding his baguette

She may win but I think Paul will be on one of the H O S horses. She's failed to settle in her races though so will she do it in the County surrounded with horses? If she doesn't settle, will she be good enough to win? Shes had plenty of experience and not learned to settle so a bit of a risk to think she'll do it next time.

I like her - I backed her at the DRF and Cheltenham - but just wouldn't be for me in the County at the moment. I'd prefer to back her after a couple of furlongs if she's settled, even if the price is much lower at that point. I think they'll chance her in the Mares though.

How is she chucked in? No known form above her current mark

Granted, agree she might improve - but that applies to many unexposed horses
