  • Just a snippet of useless information but I noticed that the market pre entry for those priced under 33/1, now (post entry) only contains 33% (ie 9 runners). So the bookies did pretty well out of that one!

I will probably end up backing NRNB in the JR but I think I fancy 15 already
One of the owners has just said he won’t be going for the ultima.

        Thanks

Looks like that was a smart move

Missed this. Glad someone is taking it up, have absolutely adored Bryan's work. I hope you keep looking at his trend about As in the name of the Fred Winter winner

          • Where do we think Crebilly will run, I’ve backed for plate , but seems plenty of money for Ultima.

The Ultima money has to be a smokescreen, the horse couldn't stay Aintrees 3m.
The Ultima doesn't look a strong renewal maybe punters are putting 2+2 together, the worry is the only other JP entry is Johnnywho who I could do with in the Kim Muir, but I'd be really surprised if Crebilly is seen on the Tuesday....

              • Hope you are right Istabraq, couple of weeks to go and the usual paranoia is starting to rise.

                • I've also got a decent bet on Crebilly in the Plate, and I'd honestly have no interest in him in the Ultima

Which is rare for me, I usually back all entries NRNB

He just has never shown he wants 3m, and I agree with Istabraq - not staying at Aintree means he's no hope IMO

                  • Thanks for the replies, starting to feel bullish again. Bloody hell, I always hate these two weeks before Cheltenham, injuries, backing wrong races, etc.
one hell of a wei Cheltenham, and then toon in final against scousers. Liver is going to get even a bigger hammering.

The market is diabolically weak with so little liquidity its pointless taking the betfair prices seriously, but, if you want some comfort the markets says there's zero chance Crebilly comes here....

                          • B365 - boosted antepost price for changing man 14-1
not a bad offer as commited to the race and best priced 7-1 NRNB
2 or 3 others near top of betting not even going to run either.

                            • Only trouble with the Changing Man is that he may be one of those horse who finds a way to lose, thought he looked all over the winner in the Rehearsal Chase, but just found little when pushed out. Won last time, but race just fell apart.

Crebilly in the plate is one of my best single returns of the whole week and I’ve a very nice double with Jagwar (the good thing).

So naturallly Crebilly will go in the Ultima instead. I’ll know he won’t stay but feel obliged to back in case he does. He’ll be well beat and I’ll kick myself.
