A big-priced one to look at may be Lord Du Mesnil. He has run in three chases at Cheltenham; finishing 2nd each time, Been dropped seven pounds since the start of the season despite not running too badly (including one of those Cheltenham 2nd's when he lost a shoe). Not getting any younger, obviously, but he could be an e/w option.

I reckon this is going to be FJ's year. TG looks to have everything going for him. The form of last year's race is way ahead of anything else produced. The Handicapper must be on him too dropping him 2lbs !!!

The ground has come in favour for Stumptown big time. If he wins today he'll forever be known as Lumptown

The softer the better and it will really place the emphasis on stamina. Won LTO at Cheltenham on heavy ground, is 21 at Cheltenham over 3m+, he's more experienced this year (you have to go back to 1971 to find a 6yo winner of the KM) and Keith Donnaghue has hit form in recent days.

I think he has a massive chance and am a little surprised he's not being better found in the market. Hopefully there are a few tearaways that go a real fast clip early to place the emphasis on stamina as I dont think anything will stay on stronger than him.

I'm with Stumptown in this one.

Heavy ground will suit him more than some of the others at the front of the market. Should be shorter and Bet365 boosted to 11s.

Got The Goffer from earlier but not sure he's going to appreciate the ground and isn't as strong a stayer. May lay some of my win stake off.

Eklat de Rire has a great record on heavy - 211182 with the 8th being over an inadequate trip. Only visit to Cheltenham 2nd fav in a BANC when falling. Was value at 33s but not sure I'd take 16s.

Betfair place market - 5 places.

Chambard 10.5 - heavy ground record of 22P1218. Won the Becher Chase on horrendous going. Raised 6 pounds for that so not sure he's handicapped well enough for a win chance but will be a strong stayer on this ground. Won the Kim Muir 2 years ago and a Cheltenham record of 142. Lucy Turners a good jockey and will give him a nice patient ride.

Highland Hunter 10 (not yet matched) - not been to Cheltenham yet but undulating course record of 11F12122. Record on heavy is 11121U41. Strong stayer and will see if I get matched at those odds.

Yes I have to admit it's a good shout. Even better now following the rain. Quite the season for Gavin with GB handicap plundering if he does it.
