I like him for either, but prefer the Plate
Might it have been the extra few lbs he got off the handicapper, maybe they need to find more improvement then expected and are chancing the trip. He did show plenty of stamina at last years festival.
I thought his rating was slightly unjust given his finishing positions this season..

It's very annoying if this is now the plan as I didn't back him for this based off Johnny Ward mentioning he had texted the trainer on Cheltenham plans(can't remember which podcast) and I had made up my mind that the Plate would be their choice. However, looks like they could be choosing this race only because they think it is the easier race to win.
