Paddy Power obviously don't want to entertain bets on Remastered for this. I asked for a price and they came back with 12/1.

After running in the Classic Chase this weekend a couple of years ago, The Conditional was between 8/1 and 12/1 everywhere for this before going on to win. Hopefully anyone who wants to back Remastered has Bet 365 available to them so they can back him at 25s there though!

Remember he is qualified for the Pertemps…

Yep, it's a concern but it would be strange campaigning to talk up the gold cup, enter in that race then go for the pertemps rather than a handicap chase imo. Particularly when it's not your handicap mark that rules you out of the handicap chase. Definitely not going to say that wouldn't happen though

I think they'll have another bash at a valuable staying chase handicap or graded race in the next few weeks.
Cotswold or the Grimthorpe or Denman chase etc.
Then realise he's not good enough for the Gold cup. Most likely. I thought this became obvious last time at Haydock myself but they clearly disagree, and still hopeful.

Then it's a decision if to go to Cheltenham and in what race.

              Agree re: gold cup.

My biggest concern at the moment is he's from the same owners who have had native river just retired. Do they just want a day out on the big day?

At the end of the day, I'm sticking my neck out that he's my most obvious handicap bet ATM. I am happy to say I was wrong or get out early before that's proven but 25/1 is too big for him given some of the others in the market and a down the field run in the Cotswold or denman, not pushed about would be ideal for me!

Have connections talked up a potential GC bid with remastered? I’ve not seen anything other than the entry, which I thought was odd. I would really like his chances in this as he seems to have had a similar campaign to un temps pour tout before his second win. I was even thinking he may get his prep for it in the cleeve hurdle like UTPT did.

Pipe mentioned it in an interview prior to the last run.

Fair dos. Hopefully that’s gone out of their heads then.

I’ve got PTC for the Plate too given the trips he’s been running at. He hasn’t looked like he needs further but it could bring out improvement all the same.
