No, not heard anything. Just think there's plenty of improvement in him over a step up in trip. He's 4lb lower than he was last year, decent win lto over 3 miles, and I like how he finished his race in the plate last year. May not even be a target, but no harm done with nrnb. Looking at his entries though I think the Grand National is his likely target. Entered in the National trial at Haydock over 3m4f on Feb 19th, and the Coral Trophy over 3m at Kempton on Feb 26th.

Yep the Prize money for the Coral Chase has been increased by 50k this year making it worth significantly more than the Ultima so interesting to see if any Ultima horses take in this instead. Cloudy Glen was my main pick for this big time.
But cannot be sure they'll run him here. The owners may just let Vintage run on his own.
I know Spectre mentioned his mark being too high, but it's not.
He is now only rated 146.
He's only 6lb higher for those 2 excellent pieces of staying chase form, as both were off 140.
He's just inconsistent, and may not run.
But having ran on Saturday then it may fit into the plan if the National is a definite aim, which you'd imagine it is.
