GE has used that race for his Boodles horses before as per Saxons Diary. So I'd say at 40/1 I'd be happy to find out if this was deliberate by GE to keep handicap mark down (when he gets 3rd run).

I imagine he will go for the novice hurdle at Naas in February that Aramax and Band of Outlaws ran in prior to winning the Fred Winter / Boodles next.

If we could guarantee cash out would still be available with PP/Betfair by the time that race comes around I'd be all over that 40/1.
I'm a big fan of looking for the patterns, have done it successfully on here before SW started his superb threads..... however they are only a guide and we have to take what we actually see at face value sometimes rather than try and retrospectively make it still look like a plan.

For me, Britzka isn't at the top of my Boodles list either... he may well run, but I don't think he's going to be the main dart.

I can see the angle, but I think these patterns will change over time, the same size is too small to rely on fully.

It should go without saying that I would 100% respect any Gordon Elliott horse in any handicap, so I'm not saying the two you've mentioned can't win or won't be shorter on the day or anything like that.... I just thought today, that was not what you'd have wanted to see.

Britzka had wind problems, but they chanced it last time, and it didn't work out

He's had a wind op, so we may see a much better horse next time.

Yeah maybe, best priced 16/1 now has me looking elsewhere for the moment though.

Interesting entry for Gaelic Warrior this weekend at Cheltenham in a 2m hcap hurdle.

Can someone confirm how many runs he'd need to be eligible for this?

He's had 3 hurdles runs in France so should be qualified and eligible I think

I looked at that Odin but wasn't sure if the runs had to be in a specific time frame, thanks mate.

He was one I had in the tracker for next year ... was hoping he might be kept back for a novice hurdle campaign.

Obvious check for his rating, IMO. He's one for the Boodles I've been waiting for an entry for a while tbh.

I thought he was going to get a DRF entry but when he never I assumed he was being kept back for next season.

Yeah, always the tough call with RR's horses.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was one Scooby91 has put up too? Maybe he can let us know his thoughts if he gets time

                        • Seems like there were quite a few waiting on the Gaelic Warrior entry, absolute sea of blue for him today, 20/1 into 10/1-14/1.

Is this the season WPM breaks his Fred Winter duck. GW is certainly by the right sire, to do so. He loves a Cheltenham juvenile winner

I put him up at 25s for this in Sept/October... with this exact plan.. route...

The betting is not likely to help his mark now tbf... and I know what it was... prior to the obvs re-asessing now.

16th Oct... to be exact...but I'd mentioned it well prior... with the runs of others around him...

Will he get re-assessed based on the betting then? How does that work?

was putting off backing him myself as like Madmoose noted above, I was wondering if he was one for next season. Given the entry, I guess not now.

Because the marks not final... so they can adjust and do, when one becomes particularly interesting in the market... as this.. unfortunately for me... now has.

They have done the same last season with the mcneil horse for the KM who would have got in but for all the chat and being heavily backed... so they adjusted before final... which they're entitled to do
