Rachel has been underperforming in a lot of races this season for me, dropping whips/reins etc. she wouldn’t be near the top of my jocks list but if he’s as talented as has been rumoured it may not matter much!Comment

I backed Afadil for this after Jolly Nellerie wasn’t entered.
Won twice over here and then turned out really quickly after the second of those wins, which to me suggests Nicholls fancies him. Got a nice low weight but the race is a bit of a minefield so won’t be adding much more as there are probably many like Afadil!Comment

Faugheen_Machine what was that horse we bakced in that, Coo Star Sivola maybe? I couldn't see it out of the first 5 and backed it each way 10 places..... think he came 14th

Back in the day the Nicholls french import guaranteed a run off 123 would not be this price. I really like him but as I mentioned a few pages back, Nicholls comments in the stable tour were not that inspiring… but hopefully he’s just playing it down.Originally posted by Craigy14 View PostComment

Always good to know he rates him. The quote below is what makes me slightly uneasy backing him. I always like horses that raced on the level for the Boodles as they often go a ridiculous pace and you need to hold a position and have tactical speed.
“It's been a bit of a rush to get him ready but won at Taunton first time and then won a Listed race at Musselburgh on his second start. He got a mark of 124 which I thought was quite a nice mark. I ran him at Haydock last week to qualify him for the Boodles and he didn’t run that great and finished sixth.
I ran him a bit too soon, but my hand was forced a bit as I had to have that third run. We have a couple of weeks now to decide whether we go; if he doesn’t go to Cheltenham he could go to a juvenile novice handicap at Ascot a couple of weeks after that.
I just need to see if I can get him back to his best but he’s a little bit like Irish Hill, who last season was an OK four-year-old off the Flat, and after a good summer and a bit more time he's just gone forwards. Horses like him ad Rare Middleton will jjut go onwards and upwards next season when they’ve had a good summer. He’s got loads of potential but I'm rushed a bit to get him to the Boodles, we’ll see.”
