  • I know a few have spoken about Ben Pauling's group in this race - currently has Bad, Active Duty and Samuel Spade confirmed in.

Jipcot not in as of yet.

            • The strangest trend I have found on this is in the last 9 years 8 of the winners dam sires have had group form around Longchamp, the exception was beat a neck in a G3 there.

Brazil - Anabaa won G3 beat a neck in G1
Jeff Kidder - Rail Link won multiple G races there including 2 G1
Aramax - In The Wings won multiple G3 there.
Band Of Outlaws - Spectrum beat a neck in G3
Veneer Of Charm - Trans Island - won G2
Diego Du Charmil - Anabaa Blue - Won G2
              Qualando - Poliglote - Won G2
              Hawk High - Machiavellian - Won G1

The course characteristics of Longchamp (I dont claim to know a whole lot about the flat) are each one of the round courses is undulating in nature – rising a total of 100ft from their low point to the highest point of the course. Which makes sense how Longchamp and Cheltenham form would interlink.

In fact the first 3 home last year qualified, in total there were 10 runners last year and 7 finished in the first 10.

              The year before first 3 all Qualified, along with 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 19th, and UR. 1st 3 home including 66/1 3rd from 10 runners.

The year before that first 3 all Qualified as well, along with 11th, 16th and PU not a bad return for 6 qualifiers.

              This year Qualifiers:

Kendor - Won G1 at Longchamp over 1m - Tekao,
Anabaa - Won G3 at Longchamp, beat a neck in G1 - Byker, Morning Soldier
              Daylami - Won G1 - Nusret
              Peintre Celebre - Won G1 - Bad,
              Kingmambo - Won G1 - Perseus Way
              Dalakhani - Won G1 - Zanndabad
Sharmardal - Won G1 - Samuel Spade, Bringbackmemories
Poliglote - Won G3 - Fils De Roi,
Fragrant Mix - Won G2 - Romancero Le Dun,
              Linamix - Won G1 - Thetys
Siyouni - Won G2 - By Your Side
Voix Du Nord - Won G1 - Isaline De Chandou
Sageburg - Won G1 - Jackpot De Choisel
              Panoramic I - Won G2 - Jolly Nellerie
              Giant's Causeway - Won G1 - Sundial
              Xaar - Won G1 - Surac
              Champ Elysees - Won G3 - Nikhi

Don't worry pal, mine position is NRNB so I'm not touching it, but has been widely reported elsewhere. Not saying you're wrong of course!

Betfair have removed him from their market. I hope he's entered but wouldn't say it looks likely.

No problem Robith, Admin does always seem to be behind on confirmations strangely as it'd be the place expected to be slightly ahead of the curve.

Just as I write this it updates,37 entries as things stand, No Cougar

No idea but you can forget what's gone before, he has a new set up, new yard/facilities, I've been told it's a proper operation, looks to be a trainer heading in the right direction...
