Most of the Irish I know start drinking on Sunday on the way over and don’t stop until they get to Uttoxeter…

    • HMS Seahorse (12/1) is well in versus The Tide Turns (11/2) and double the price.

Met off levels at Punchestown in Jan, beaten 2.75L

Mark is 9 lbs lower though.

Ah yes. Back in the day when Pipe used to have a real dig at the Imperial Cup double.

The tide turns and icare allen look a bit high in the weights to me

As does lunar power who got +7

Champion Green, hms seahorse and gaelic warrior are the ones that catch the eye

              Brilliant.
Reminds of those Hitler war videos that were knocking around a few years ago, very clever...

I can’t have him going off 6/4 in this. Can see him touching 9/2+ In the morning, opening 7/2ish and going off 3/1ish.
Only way he goes off 6/4 is if WPM has been smashing up day 1.

I’d be very keen to go in at 9/2, in fact 4/1 would be a smash up price.
I’m guessing of course but he could easily be 9/4…

He was 9/2 the other day They have a host of well handicapped horses to take him on with, first time round the course, over UK hurdles and at the pace of a UK handicap.

It’s exactly the type of horse Denise goes a bold best price about in the morning.

There’s well in then there’s GW.
Even the biggest and best cheat ups this season won’t get a horse ‘better in’ than this fella.
I was talking to someone with close links to Hendos yard on Trials Day and they were talking about him then, working like a 145-150 horse was the chat.
But I hope I’m wrong, I’ll be looking for a horse to plunge…

He'll be the penultimate leg of thousands of first day favourite multiples , English and Irish horse's, so it doesn't have to be a Mullins smash up. He'll go of very short imo.

                          • Id love to see him finish some multiples on day 1 and smash the bookies

I said on this thread a few weeks back 9/4 SP after the preview circuits smash into him. 5/2 at this stage really highlights how his profile is going to always be popular. He’s just so well handicapped. I’ve not seen anything so blatantly as well handicapped in years.

                              • On GW ; Chambers said his French mark if taken literally is 139 (10 above what he got)
If 139 got honoured they would give the boodles a go - if higher would keep until next years Supreme.

Given they were willing to go off 139 thats telling... and not accouting for the few lbs Willie will no doubt edge out.
