As to what happens in the half hour before the race itself, will depend a little on results that day.

People tend to forget at this time that the prices are 99% under valued, unless it's a race where the runners can be thinned out. Or worth covering some, in anticipation of defections.

The boodles is not the best for that sort of thing, aside from the obvious triumph horses, and the market appears to be covering that anyway.
The approximate antepost over round for the boodles looks to be the worst of all the races IMO. By a fair bit.
Exactly, If the bookies ain’t prepared to take on something they’ve not even seen on our shores yet in a 20+ hcap then god help punters who play on the week/day.

Much easier surely to take on something they DO know about ??

          Not really.
There's a big difference between prices after 48 hour decs and SP.

          • Icare allen given 137. I know hurdlers in general can bank on getting +5/6, but Is this the case for juveniles or do they typically get of lighter?

there’s the enigmatic Gaelic warrior to take into account, but in a typical year for this, I could see icare allen winning off a similar mark to aramax or band of outlaws. But 137 Ireland might tip him bwyond that

It’s fookin fez week if they ain’t pushing up hype jobs(got to prove improvement yet) then they might as well not bother turning up to Prestbury in two weeks time.

Petit Tonnerre up 3lb lol for beating horses barely in the 100s

That makes no less sense than Langar Dan being dropped 3lbs for a trot round the back!

                    • When you see the ratings & there’s Gaelic Warrior in all his glory on 129

Icare Allen 139 yet Tide Turns 137 after beating him at DRF

                      Ebasari 131.

I think HMS Seahorse has a nice mark of 128

Won’t get in off that will he?

You'd have to say it will be close. Tax might get him to 128 and 123 got in last year.... but lowest mark was 129 three years previous. UK handicapper might take pleasure not putting him up by much...

Joint 24th on the list so he will get in

Is that 125 pre tax then?

Sorry I was jumping the gun there! Was 125 Irish rating and been kept the same here. As DS says, looks like he's in though. Very, very handy mark Id say.
