  • Surprised Henderson is sending Impulsive One to the Adonis on Saturday. Thought he was one of the better handicapped UK ones at least.

    • Sea Sessions looks to have a really nice mark

      • I’m not going to overthink this race this year with all the Elliot plot jobs etc. I’ve gone all in on Gaelic warrior backed it from 14s to as low as 11/2. People can say he’s too short all they want but they know what they’re doing in the Mullins yard and it’s pretty obvious they expect it to win. If another 80/1 shot fancies it, then be my guest. I’ll just bang out the winner of the other 27 races and let this one go!

Best price I saw earlier was 4/1, think Hills were 3/1…

I meant my own personal bets, last time I went in was about a week ago

Yeah I guessed that SF, my point was you stopped at 11/2 but plenty of others it seems still saw juice in the 11/2 and shorter.
Has the potential to go off 9/4…

Definitely. Especially given the connections with the horse too - once the “public” collar on to him too he’ll get hammered on the day… wonder how many mentions he’ll get at the preview circuit in the next 2 weeks too.

Especially if willie wins the supreme and the arkle

Also with live chances in the mares hurdle and appreciate it in the champion

You can certainly see him in plenty of Mullins/Irish multiples on the day so yea momentum could easily force his price very short…

                    • Backing Gaelic Warrior with no racecourse hurdle experience in UK or Ireland is a very risky proposition. Although I do think the price will contract more I don't think its worth a bet at current prices.

Nicholls did it with a couple here, Diego du Charmil and Sanctuaire, he also did it with Au Ptit Soins to win a Coral Cup but I think it’s all about the mark they’re given, when you see them work at home you know how good they are and UK racecourse experience becomes less relevant.
I met someone on Trials Day who know plenty about the horse and he says the horse should run to 145 assuming he gets in…

His French hurdle form looks very good, beating a grade 1 winner last time out and looks to have absolutely stuffed the handicapper in my eyes, I can put that behind me and have him onside at a healthy price anyway

Imagine if he missed the cut after all this

Probably switch to the Triumph the way this week has gone
