Won’t his mark be issued tomorrow or is this a sneak peak?

Checked the Racing Post and it appears correct according to https://www.hri-ras.ie/ihrb-handicap...l-nh-ratings/#

There’s a few of the interesting ones with their Irish marks up now that I hadn’t noticed before

        brazil 133
        Lunar power 130
        britzka 127
        Iberique de seuil 124
        white pepper 124
        feigh 120

Not sure if these have been up for a while but 1st I’ve noticed them

        • 130 looks a nice rating for lunar power

          • Nicholls has acquired Bell Ex One and running here fresh off a mark of 130. Not sure that mark is up to much but Nicholls could easily improve him quite a bit.

Still no sign of a rating for Champion Green. Does anyone know why?

He hasn't been entered in a handicap and/or connections haven't asked for one.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

So horses aren't automatically given a mark after 3 runs until they are entered? Genuinely never knew that. Cheers Spectre

Yes it is odd. Some of Mullins that may go to handicaps haven't been given a mark after 3/4 runs. I don't think Teahupoo and Quilixios have marks either, despite running in enough races for a mark.

                      • In Ireland they have to be entered or ask for one, UK are given a mark automatically.

                        • What’s people’s thoughts on this Petit Tonnerre for JP in here? It’s being trained by Jonjo but has some serious form in France & has been given 135 after just 2 starts! Seems crazy high considering the UKs leading Triumph horse is Porticello & he’s only 140 after winning 4/5 inc a G1.

However, he runs at Market Rasen today in a 3 runner race against 2 horses rated 112 & 108!! Will give him the 3rd run required. If he looks average in winning against those will the capper drop him in line with this yrs policy? Just find him a very interesting dark one in here. Look, if he shits up by a distance he can’t put him up can he. 16/1 NRNB at present

I'd say more likely for the Triumph. JP has a number of horses who could come here who would be better handicapped.

Ahh, good shout that. The way the capper has gone about his business this yr, I just wouldn’t want to call what he’ll do to his mark after today however he runs.
