If Sa majeste gets 145 it has to be a wheelbarrow job right? I just can't see how he gets less than 147 (Irish collateral for noble yeats and English tax)

Tricky one for the handicapper. My Wheelbarrows already on - so hopefully he goes easy and considers the actual fact that Noble Yeats didn't run close to his best.

Agree. The fact he's a Mullins Novice will not help his cause.

If you need an extra wheelbarrow I've still got my Vauban Melbourne Cup one in the garage......

Maybe I'm slightly coloured by the fact that I didn't get on earlier prices but he just seems such an obvious one to be a 146+ given the collateral. Hopefully for you (and others), the handicapper sides with you. I'm not massively involved in either race yet so it wouldn't bother me too much either way...

                Yes- I’d say so.

I think it could still be either as he mentioned MP possiblty in the RP stabletour.

No Ordinary Joe was second in the Martin Pipe last year and it looks like his obvious target again, although like a few others he'll have a couple of options

Just seen Sa Majeste is his too........must keep up.

You obviously think SM will go CC over Pipe. Is that just a weight thing ?

If he runs I'm thinking it could push Langer Dan into the Pipe to avoid him.

                    • Last year JP had the first 2 in the MP (Iroko and No Ordinary Joe) and nothing below 20/1 in the Coral Cup. Don't think he'll necessarily be splitting his top two between the Coral and the Pipe to be honest. Even if that is a small sample size to demonstrate

                      NRNB plays for sure mind.

The yea before he had three at 10/1 or below in the Coral Cup and nothing below 40s in the MP. Which I think proves the point

                      • Like Benjy says, he has plenty to place and jockeys to arrange etc.
But his best backed right now are Majeste and Joe.
                        I've backed both for both.

His others all look less likely to attract support right now, so no rush to back them, who knows though on the day.

Camprond looked like his Coral cup best chance and had a similar nothing run around musslebrough a couple of weeks prior.
Think he drifted a fair bit to 20-1 SP on the day though, but can't remember for sure.

Correct on Camprond, was like 5 or 6s couple days beforehand but drifted like mad cause of the ground/weather

Yeah, I thought so cos I knew I'd backed him weeks before, he then ran a blinder anyway
                            Ground talk eh ?

I had all three fortunately, which is rare in the Coral cup, although Langer Dan was far from my best winner of the three. So i didn't exactly celebrate either.
