Don't know why he would say that. He's ran in some big races already with no problems.

….bit surprised Beacon Edge is still 20-1 as it was given a positive mention in the RP Preview.

Got a big chance I think, provided the ground doesn't get too soft. I've no doubt that this is his trip. I backed him at the beginning of last week, though he'd been on my list since before the entries come out. I was hoping he'd be a bit bigger in price if I'm honest. The route he's taken (last 3 races) is absolutely identical to last years winner, Commander Of Fleet, for the same owners, but under a different trainer.

For me, and I can guarantee others will disagree (because he has some form of soft/heavy) but to be seen at his best I think he needs better ground, and also this trip.

….notice that 20-1 gone in the last hour or so with Lad/Cor & 365 but still available with a few (Hills/Fred).

I laughed when DJ said Eddie pretty much played down its chances when he text him about him running and he said that's even more a given to back it lol (paraphrasing)

            • I think I've finally decided what I'm doing for this, and the one I've come to is Vina Ardanza. 25/1 is actually a really good price for this. Mark or 143 is about right, and if you look at its back form it's beaten first street (came 2nd in County last year) . Aucenrisque (recently won on a mark of 138) . 2m 4f is alot better for the horse as its ran its best race over the trip, 3m I think has been too far, and 2m has been too sharp. It should of won a handicap which Watch house cross won and that's a smaller price for this.

More likely for the Martin Pipe perhaps, being with Elliott?

I hope not, because I do think the horse has a lot better chance in this than the pipe, the pipe I think looks a harder race by the looks of it. 25/1 NNRB I think is pretty big for this though I just dont see many running in this either who are top of the market except Camprond but I rather do Vina for this and hope it goes for this race.

                    Camprond
                    Run for Oscar
                    HMS Seahorse
                    Langer Dan
                    San Salvador
                    Captain Conby
                    Benson
                    Beacon Edge

All look likely to me, and all probably have better credentials.
25-1 is not a bad price though.
I wouldn't say the Pipe is any stronger.

Even if they all run I still think Vina Ardanza will finish hopefully infront of all of them. Camprond I just can't get round to even though I can see people's views on the horse and if it does win then fair enough. Beacon edge I was tempted, but I just think it's going to come up short for some reason, the others I just can't have for this myself that's just my view.

                      • All spoofs aside I’ve actually got all the handicaps worked out. Can give you the tricast for this if that’s what your into. Not sure of the order but can visualise the frame with ease. The very man, beacon edge and an epic song. Pass me a beer plz someone… cheers

Assumed that when Lorcan Williams got banned, with Lorcan they had a good conditional and the Pipe would have been ideal (as it has been for the past 2 years !), they may as well now send him to the Coral Cup with Harry on...

Harry Skelton says he goes Coral - said he wanted his go on the horse.

And they'll avoid Spanish Harlem in the Pipe
