  • I highly doubt the donnellys paid all that money for Brandy love to then run her in a handicap

Saint Sam is the one of willies that il be looking at the weights for

Already proven he handles the big field Cheltenham handicaps in the boodles

The pace of the race should help him settle better

The investment was more likely for breeding and with the Mares Hurdle looking as strong as it is the Coral Cup is a much easier option.
She was certainly ridden last week like they were minding her mark...

She was ridden like a horse having a prep run for fitness

Paul will surely have been instructed to win if he can but not to give her a hard race

Saint Sam given an Irish rating of 150 over hurdles.

          • Agreed FF91, i'd say he's destined for this race + as R2C mentions he's 150 in Ireland. He as 153 over fences when running at Chelt + unseating. I doubt they'll be going any higher than that for this.

Yes. His mark will be totally blown now. Right horse wrong race. Thank heavens for nrnb.

seems like there was a physical issue bothering him at the start of the season according to Elliot’s stable tour, would be interested in what mark he gets as I thought his champion hurdle run last year was a big improvement and was hoping he’d kick on this year like teahupoo has, hasn’t happened yet but he travelled a bit better last time out.

if he is coming back to his best he could actually end up pretty well in even as one of the top weights.
I haven’t been paying attention to the previews this year but I just saw something that could be interesting regarding Zanahiyr, or could be absolutely useless. When looking at the list of horses for Gordon’s recent open day I noticed Zanahiyr’s rider was Michael O’Sullivan. I’m assuming it’s the same jockey who rides for Bazza but it could just be a popular name. Anyhow, he’d definitely be near the top of the list of conditionals you’d want to claim with, especially as Zanahiyr will be near the top of the weights.

Apologies of this has already been spotted but I have 15 unread subscriptions I’m struggling to catch up on

                    Interesting angle!

Someone on here put up Zanahiyir at 10/1 to place in any race that was an error that Sky honoured (apologies forgot who it was)... so I'm clinging on to the hope of him running in a handicap any staying on into a place

Think it was that bet that got me some restrictions on Sky, so he’d better bloody place or I’ll be going to Gordon’s with the knackers van…

It's definitely saved me some cash as stopped me backing him for the stayers of which he would have no chance.

Surprised they would drop to 2m and not go for the Coral Cup.
