Had a look at her the other day and I think she had an Irish rating of exactly 145 going into last years Mares hurdle where, as we know, she was running all over them when brought down so it's possible the UK handicapper pitches her upper 140s.
That's not to say she can't win off that mark but it would make it tougher.
I'd say it's still a very short price she heads for the Mares even if that means a clash with Honey (should she make it)...
I think the 145 rating was UK, but not certain.
Obviously since then she fell and was brought down in punchestown (rated 142) which I think was her Irish mark.
I'd say they won't want her running against Honeysuckle myself.
I wonder if Tellmesomethinggirl might run here now, given Honeysuckle going for the mares.
Should be rated lower than 145, and I'd say that may underestimate her.

145 was her uk rating when running in the mares hurdle last year.
you'd find it hard to make a case she should be higher rated.

You could well be right, but I'm not convinced Honeysuckle makes Cheltenham, if she's regressed sufficiently not to defend her Champion Hurdle crown then a G1 race against possibly the best Mares renewal we've seen of the race off levels won't be much easier...

I agree it won't be easy and won't be backing her, but that's not going to stop them running her by the sounds of it (only fitness/injury will)

1 more over fences and go from there is the plan Q

I've seen a lot of people say she has regressed but I don't think that is the case at all.I think she's been running at the same level as in previous years but this year is coming up against better opposition. She's beaten Ronald Pump twice in the Hattons Grace who I think Teaupoo and Klassical Dream would have easily beaten and then this year at the DRF, she's beaten Zanahyr again but State Man is just better than her.
I think she'll easily win the mares if she turns up. None of the main market leaders can run to anywhere near her imo.
Have backed No Ordinary Joe for this, so interested to see how he goes in the Betfair Hurdle today. Staying on strongly into 3rd or 4th would do nicely I think.
