  • Really thought Fastorslow was going to get up there.

    • When it's as heavy as this it spoils the spectacle for a race like this: much better to have a lot of horses with a chance in the straight - not this war of attrition

Yes it was a good run but probably took it’s toll being out in front all race. This change in going is going to wreck a lot of ante post selections by the look of it.

        • Was sitting on the exchange looking at all the non runners with ?2.50 in my account

Decided to put it on a rag

Narrowed it down to the bosses oscar and commander of fleet

Have a guess which i chose

          • Just looked a Gordons list of running for that. Winners, and like 6 PU's ("hey, handicapper, look here, please drop their marks now"

              • HMS Seahorse off 143 to this race.

                • When you look at Gaelic Warrior's UK rating (guessing at around 156)
                  And HMS Seahorse on 143.
Brazil may well be quite well handicapped for the county or this race. I'd guess around the 146-148 mark.

Saw there were new comments and this caught my eye - ouch

I think the amount of bollocks that was talked about TBO last year on here and elsewhere would have made 90% of punters make the same choice you did

I think Nolan has a good few pounds in hand with HMS Seahorse. He got a very clever ride last time out. He’s my strongest fancy in the handicaps so far…

Absolutely right. 143 is very fair for HMS. As would 146-149 for Brazil.
bookies taking no chances at 10/1 nrnb on HMS, a great chance but not a gift.

                            • I wonder if Tellmesomethinggirl might run here now, given Honeysuckle going for the mares.
Should be rated lower than 145, and I'd say that may underestimate her.

Had a look at her the other day and I think she had an Irish rating of exactly 145 going into last years Mares hurdle where, as we know, she was running all over them when brought down so it's possible the UK handicapper pitches her upper 140s.
That's not to say she can't win off that mark but it would make it tougher.
I'd say it's still a very short price she heads for the Mares even if that means a clash with Honey (should she make it)...
