No, finished 6th at Navan off a slow pace which doesn’t suit and Fell another time over 2 mile 3 when coming with a run. He might be one that falls in between and wants a stiff 2m 2-3 but at 14/1+ and a heap of places I’ll be happy to pay to find out after great runs at Leop and last years County.

One of his full brothers was a 2 miler and the other a stayer over 3 miles plus so I’ll take as reassurance of sorts.

It’s the Coral Cup and trained by a non-big name trainer - It’s a certainty to drift to at least 12-14/1. The markets get pushed bigtime compared to right now when they’re betting to a thousand %.

      • If he gets in bua boy is of Ew interest with firms paying 6/7 places. Entered in the county too but won't mind this trip. His Cheltenham visit in November I think was for him to get a feel of the place. Alot of horses have come out of that race and won/run well since. 55/1 best priced eith a bet boost.

If the Coral Cup was 2m2f I'd be there with you, but looks hugely overbet at the current price over 2m5f to me.

              • This race looks an impossible puzzle. Just the Elliot horses would make a tricky handicap...

                • I've done call me lord and Tronador, I'm not sure why Tronador has no jockey up yet. Tronador is an unknown but willing to take a risk and see what happens, its won over 2m 5f and it's mark I just have no idea if it's got something in hand or not because it's either been pulled up or it's been running at the back with no chance in recent races, I'm struggling to ignore that Aintree win.

Call me lord personally is a solid e/w, mark or 142 and been staying on I think 33s is still a bloody good price for 7 places.

                    • Maze Runner looks interesting here. Prepped in the same race as Bleu Berry was and the form of that race is good, has a nice weight. Won a competitive handicap last year easily, owned by willie's wife and a good pilot in Sean O Keeffe. Looks laid out for this and still available at 33/1 PP.

Prior to last years Festival didn't Willie say that this was his best chance in a handicap, and then didn't declare him? What rating was he for this last year?
Agree that he looks laid out for this, 33s is a great price.

Seconded. Been on MR for a while now, think he will go completely under the radar

He was raised 10 lbs to 135 for an easy win in a handicap hurdle at the DRF. He has been dropped one since but has a 5lb tax from the british handicapper to make him 139 here. I think it is still a fair mark for him. A cut in the ground would suit but would'nt rule him out on better ground.

I've added Maze runner with the other 2 I've done, I think your right 139 I think is still a good fair mark and its 25s still. I think last year as you say Mullins wanted to race the horse but just was not declared.
