Not necessarily, given Found A Fifty is rated 153, and already beaten him this season, but he'd certainly have a chance.

FWIW I don't think he's thrown in the GA, not even close, this is very much 'money down' talk, IMO.

    • My Mate Mozzie rated 150 through one of the top 3 worst grade 1s run this season. The winner may win the Arkle but that race was a farce for a 2m chase and as far away from the gallop they'll go at Cheltenham as you'd get. I couldn't have him off 150 - just props up the market for the ones with a real chance.

      • Do this every year, but name me one novice that has won a Cheltenham handicap off a mark of 150+ ??

He's already won Impressively over course and distance this season don't forget.

Mozzie got collateral - 150. Tough for novices off 150+ - say it every year.

So has Triple Trade and Dancing on my Own, with Liberty Hunter and Madara winning on the new course. 150 is a hell of a rating to win this race off. Sky Pirate done it 2 years ago off a higher weight as an experienced 2nd season chaser so its possible but he wouldn't be near my shortlist.

Definitely have a decent chance in it should he go there.

                    • Mozzie surely will run in the arkle now

He's pretty much no chance off that mark

Two have won off higher in the last 6 seasons. Mozzie isn't your normal Novice either. He's an 8 year old with 20 runs behind him over Flat, Hurdles and Chases. He's got a slightly better chance than no chance

As for running in the Arkle......he's got pretty much no chance winning with a rating of 150

Like letsbeclearaboutit he looks to be rated to the hilt to me

Don't think either of them have anything meaningful in hand off those marks

To win the grand annual hes gonna need to be running to 157+

if hes that good, which i personally dont think he is

It'd be enough to go very close in a poor arkle

Whatever wins will likely need to run 7lbs or more above their mark.

Still don't get it. Doesn't make any sense at all.
