      • Have been going through this race a few times now, I am a bit of a trends man myself and the couple I keep falling on our Before Midnight and Embittered.

Before Midnight ran really well LTO to Funambule Sivola, he has a lot of form tied in with last years winner Sky Pirate. Think there is improvement still to come over this trip, so i am liking him at moment.

Embittered is interesting he was travelling nicely in this last year and is a 1lbs lower this time around. Good ground is key to him so expect to see a much better performance than last two runs.

Other to mention, Coeur Sublime he would be of interest if he comes here and Red Rookie I have been following this year and has a great deal of improvement in him, he was in front of Amarillo Sky at Chepstow getting 2lbs and will be getting 5lbs here.

Potentially interesting but with Paddy on him he only ever rides one way and this lad is far more interesting if allowed to go like the clappers, his run here a couple of year back when falling was looking real good and can see the appeal for a win dart on the day at a price but I'd want to see him lining up to go off from or near the front.

I like him but wouldn't want him to get into a tear up with For Pleasure...

                  • Changed my mind for this and going to do an outsider for this who I think has a genuine chance if the horse goes and I really hope they do, Global citizen, I couldn't believe the horse is on a rating of 136!!. Its gone down a massive 20lbs off its chase rating and was racing with the likes of Rouge Vif, Al dancer and Notebook. The horse has been racing over hurdles and has an entry for the county hurdle, personally I think the horse would have a much better chance here in a weak race. Buddy rich I have been tempted and I just can't help but think the horse lacks finishing its races off. Global Citizen is still 50/1 which I think is so over priced.

Went off 100/1 last year and PU, hurdles form over the past year has been awful too can't see it personally

Don't know about that, he ran 2nd behind Tommy's Oscar round Haydock 2 runs back I don't see how that was a bad run, had a wind op since too, plus the horse finished 4th in the 2020 Arkle around 150s horses. I think for a race like this he may have a place chance myself I thought.

Just to add to that. He also looked like he’d eldorado Allen beat off levels last time he ran at Cheltenham who’s now rated 166. Mark of 140 can’t be ignored even tho he is a nutjob. I may be balls deep in Heineken here but at 25/1 he’s gone straight in my basket!

First time cheek pieces on, surely indicates Paddy is going to line up and be at/near the front now ! Lads go 33s well worth the win dart imo with the headgear indicating a change of tactics hopefully.

                              • Done gumball along with global citizen, I think I'd feel gutted if I didn't do gumball knowing it's a better horse than a 140 and at 33s I just got to take it. Global citizen has been declared, I'm hoping it'll turn up when it ran 4th in the 2020 arkle I just think a mark of 136 at 50s is worth a risk.
