Could also be the one I’ve had in mind since he didn’t run in it last year. Although id be worried about the English handicapper if it is.

As a general comment, the Irish have been hoovering up the handicaps for a while now, some of these have been with horses who were given a chunk of UK tax and still won, many of which went on to win G1s next or soon after.
So, for me, I wouldn't be massively concerned about a horse getting penalised a few lb, the chances are they have about/near two stone in hand and no amount of tax will stop them, clearly doesn't apply to all horses but will to a few...

Think he means it may take the horse over the 145 cap for this race.
Just has a big hike recently in Ireland and getting close to it now.
assuming the same horse as nobody dares say it

….I’ll take a stab at it in the Handicap thread in the Members section.

I'll only back him if/when declared and with NRNB but it'll be a big lump EW. He's tried getting in 3 years in a row but has been thwarted by being too low or Covid. Hopefully it's 4th time lucky. It's certainly a very long plan in the making. He may need to run again and get a few extra pounds of possible just to ensure he doesn't miss out again. Fingers crossed.

….notice Mortal into 20-1 from 33-1 with PP. Somebody on here suggested this as a target, still 33-1 Hills.

Gordon Elliot put a video on Twitter of him schooling over XC banks with Tiger Roll and Samcro earlier, so I’d be surprised if this was the target for Mortal.

He seemed to run out of steam in the last race and he was out to win it, apart from his point he's never won over 3m. His Chase mark is obviously very tempting he'll no doubt carry 133 or something in the U.K but I feel like he'd need all of it to hit the frame here.

Unless the argument can be made that all 5 that finished infront of him were all ahead of their marks.

….i think Mortal ran in XC at recent Cheltenham meeting, Training over XC might not necessarily mean he’s keeping it in the XC, he switches between the two codes with Tiger Roll.
