Dancing City was 4th string according to the bookies in the Lacey last year and look how that turned out....beware the Joystick!

On jockey picks though and form going into the race he’s on the fourth string, arguably 5th string given the regard Jasmin is viewed. Same with the juvenile on form he’s on third string. We can only go on the form so far and that’s what it tells us imo.
Edit - I’m not saying he can’t win but on form etc he’s not on the second string regardless of what Dancing City was last year as he clearly wasn’t second string given the odds etc. What has he done to be deemed 5th string in a Grade 1 he won last year.Last edited by Craigy14; Yesterday, 05:19 PM.

You'd need some further insight into how the yard picks jockeys to know the thinking behind it.
Townend obviously gets first pick - beyond that are they allocated or do they ask? Patrick can only ride so many per season, Willie always says it's a good indicator when he chooses to burn one of his pro rides. Others maybe it's down to weight, maybe it's down to style, maybe it's down to owners preference/request, agents getting involved, maybe Danny has seen something in Joystick or Sony Bill that has made him go and ask for those rides.

Sean O'Keefe is a good jockey and don't see it as a negative even though Danny does have a great record at DRF.
Sean rides the new course at cheltenham on the friday unbelievably.
Back him blindly in the 3 hurdle races ew and you will be up money.
His best results in Triumph, county and albertt bartlett.
