Run Requirements

Deadline for Meeting Run Requirements
Horses entered into any handicap race at The Festival must meet the required number of chase or hurdle runs by Sunday, 23rd February, inclusive of any races on that date, ahead of the publication of race weights on Tuesday, 25th February.
For the avoidance of doubt, both points are included where relevant in the race conditions for handicap races at the 2025 Cheltenham Festival."
Clarification my ****! ……the previous comm said otherwise and someone has challenged it !……..it didn’t say ‘and non novices’
So now the County ‘good thing’ Kitzbuhel will have to run again before Feb 23rd to be able to run in the County.
Unfortunately he will have to show his hand before the festival and leave himself open to the handicapper, whether he run in Ireland or Britain…….
Think I may cash out
