A polite enquiry. Every bet I have with bet365 which includes Fact To File in the Ryanair has been greyed out and no Cash Out option. Is this the same for everyone ? Does this mean Denise is confident Fact To File will run in the Gold Cup so doesn't want to let me CashOut what she thinks is a losing bet ?

I'm not 100% but it might be all ryanair bets as it's same for me but I also have Il Est Francais greyed out as well and been like that since the entries came out.
Not to worry though, F2F will un-grey when he has his ass handed to him by Galopin next month
Fact To File was greyed out as soon as Spillanes Tower connections said they would be going for that race.
Did they ever actually say they were targeting that race? I thought they just said they didn't think he'd stay the gold cup trip so if he did go over it would be ryanair, but I was thinking they could easily skip it and target Aintree or fairyhouse instead unless they said something different.

Lydia mentioned on Road To Cheltenham that Jimmy Mangan had said he didn't travel over well. It was his first time running outside of Ireland. I got the impression that they might not send him over this year.
Does anyone know when the entries for the Irish Grand National come out? It's on 21st April this year compared to the 11th to 14th for Cheltenham this year so a big enough gap to target both. Just interested if those running at Cheltenham will be assessed again for the IGN for their Cheltenham runs or will they already be rated before that and a win at Cheltenham just gives them a penalty.

Weights were announced 13 days before the race last year.

Irish National Weights are always traditionally after Cheltenham is over, so takes into account form at Prestbury Park.
A longer gap between the meetings makes it certain that Irish Weights will be after Cheltenham
The Ultima: I am trying to resist looking at the handicaps like the Ultima too early, a mistake I make every year! The bookies love to price these races up and draw in the unsuspecting (like me) to having a bet. In past years their success rate at identifying runners at this time of the season is less than 50%. I have just had a look at all those priced under 25/1 and a third are not as yet qualified to run (ie novices without required runs) and over half have not won at 3m (11 of last 12 winners have done so). It was a salutary exercise for me anyway to resist backing anything for a month or more!

The Ultima is one race I like to get stuck into early. Have done for a fair few years now, and it's ultimately paid off.
I think, in recent seasons there has been a certain profile required to win or go close in the race (watch it not happen this season now ), yet there seems to still be this urge to find something outside the obvious.
I see you mentioned Hyland, in another thread, he's 20/1, that's fair for a horse who got as close as he did to the 2nd fav of the BANC. I think he fits a fair few of them trends too. He made just need better ground though.
There are a few others in and around as well, although they don't hit all the trends, they hit most of the top ones. Leave it for another month and those 16/1-20/1 shots become 10-12/1 shots, from my own experience.
As a fellow King Turgeon backer, what are you hoping for today CoD?!
A place will be fine, wouldn't want him winning too far if he did end up winning. Got it all to do giving that amount of weight today though, he's not the biggest horse in the world, that's for sure.
