In a league of his own

I wouldn't be surprised if they just keep him over there mop up them races

He absolutely thrives off that style of racing

              • Just speculation on my part but can’t help wondering if a few of Willies horses that are missing from leopardstown and running elsewhere or not at all over Xmas has been impacted by ground conditions
It has been very dry and leopardstown dries out much quicker than other courses
I just hope we don’t end up like a few years ago with lots of high profile non runners
There is still some Good in the going description

I think there may well be some truth in that, but it's a source of much frustration for me.
Only 3/4 weeks ago one or two high profile yards gallops were waterlogged.
I see comments like ground being 'too quick' when good to soft and 'too slow' when soft, it never used to be like this.
One of my favourite every racehorses, Remittance Man, won on debut in a 20+ runner bumper at Cheltenham on ground officially 'firm', before the days of irrigation this was normal.
                  They're horses, let em run...

My favourite, Young Hustler, ran 15 times in his novice chase season and 10 of those occasions was on ground Good or Good/Firm!
