Unless Josh has picked that up wrong.
Haven't seen the tweet yet. Will do my daily scouring after work but in my mind, from the end of last season, I think they will let Sir Gino take his chance in the CH anyway. A light campaign. Couple of runs and then let him take his chance before chasing the season after. There is plenty of time to get him onside but I reckon connections will just say "let's have a stab at it" all the positivity around Constitution Hill won't have been for nothing. Possibly a few games being played with wording here

Wouldn't be unlike JP to send one of his to the Ryanair on his way to the Grand National.

Yeah it's certainly not ruled out. I had 2 wild swipes at the Ryanair in amongst the main protagonists. Iroko was one and Inthepocket was the other. Something just keeps saying to me that inthepocket will go into open company and with the news of Jonbon, Jeriko and likely news that Mirazur West will also go chasing in my mind strengthens that. I think I've done a good job on the JP horses. This is my planned last cheltenham so I'm swinging a lot in my favour early with a view to hammering into them closer to the time

Glad it wasn’t just me then.

Now I know Josh seems close to Seven Barrows with his media duties over the last year or so, so it may be some ‘mind games’ but I would be surprised it that was the case.

Just didn’t strike me as something I wanted to hear when Nicky has been gushing at how good he looks and seems in order etc (which I do know he does a lot before anyone mentions it haha). Obviously Constitution Hill (CH) will do his talking on the track and he doesn’t know what’s been said or not been said. It may just be a bit of caution from Nicky so he doesn’t end up with egg on his face if CH doesn’t come back the horse he was.

I've not heard anything at all, but I am worried about ITP. He was due to make his comeback a couple of times last year and didn't appear. Paul Ferguson's book doesn't fill you with confidence either, simply hoping he returns to action, never mind delivering any results. Then again, I don't know how much knowledge, other than that which is readily available, Paul has of Henry's yard.

HENRY DE BROMHEAD is the dominant trainer in this year’s Leading Prospects section from Ireland and the County Waterford handler will be desperately hoping that 2023 Top Novices’ Hurdle winner Inthepocket returns to action in the autumn to further strengthen what would appear to be a deeply promising squad of novice chasers.

At what point do we know it's the right moment and want to close it off forever and make it a secret society?

There are members areas 'away' from the lurkers ...

Not sure about rolling them on to anything as nothing standing out, but as a stand alone idea, 6/1 and 8/1 don't look terrible to dutch

At 8/1 Fastorslow really is a very fair price if lining up, can see why YoungHustler would be so keen

I don't feel I need to rush in to backing him but that 8/1 standout price is just low hanging fruit

                *5 pts e/w Fastorslow at 8/1
                Couldn't help it.

There must be some doubt as to how he performs on his return taking into account what he went through last season regardless of how good he looks now. Sir Gino was cleary an above average juvenile last season and could well join the Champion Hurdle party.

I'd say that's a wise move by JP given all the weapons at his disposal this season.
Think they have already mentioned the Hennessy as a potential target as well, the timing of which would fit in nicely with a return at Carlisle.

My thoughts as well. JP has an army of classy chasers to go to war with this coming season.

Doubt enough that you’re holding another horse back though? One that has the current champion hurdler in the same ownership?

Like I said could be nothing, but by all accounts last season was all precaution imo because of what was going on in his yard. He didn’t have colic etc, he was likely suffering from the same issues Nicky’s other horses were.
