I do think that Lossiemouth will go to the International again Odin. She was brilliant in it this year and the timing of the race was spot on for her. Imagine they'll give her a quiet time again as it really suited her last season. Two races before the CH.

That will do for me, he isn't backwards at coming forwards Barry in regards to his horses. It's worth a speculator. I will get Found A Fifty added to the Champion Chase squad too i think. Already got him on board for the Ryanair. Bar getting GDC involved yet, my Gold Cup team is done but i am waiting on two. Grangeclare West is in the Ryanair markets but i think he is a Gold Cup horse all day long. He jumps superbly and stays all day, and Cheveley Park are due another contender. One massive question mark around his well being though and Grey Dawning is in the thought process but plenty of time for that one. I would assume Skelton will go that way and let Protektorat try and retain his Ryanair crown.

Even without CH and SM I would not be taking that price

I have it between the top of the market : GDC, F2F, Fastorslow, Gerri and Grey Dawning. I've only backed the latter 2 as not keen on the prices of the rest. Hoping F2F comes out and gets beaten once or twice and then I can take a swing

I personally don't think anything else is/will become good and think/hope Corbetts and Inothewayurthinkin will be aimed at the Grand National where the few freebets I get have been thrown at them along with Chianti Classico.

She’s not got a bit to find, it’s a lot.
CH has racked up ratings in the same manner as She has earned hers, pretty effortlessly.
Imo her only hope is if CH and SM are not in the same races as her.
I think prices should reflect that, they don’t by some way.Last edited by Carnage at Taunton; 29 August 2024, 01:02 PM.

She will have to be a lot better than Honeysuckle was though to trouble CH who I don’t think we’ve seen the best of yet.
I’ve said before that I’m confident CH is 180
plus, and I hope to see that confirmed at some point, but that will probably mean we need a horse capable of getting him producing that, and currently there don’t seem to be one.
I guess that’s a bit much to ask anyway.
But you never know!!

My Gold Cup team It's a bit of a whacky one, gone a little too far. This year's Gold Cup is last years Supreme over stacked at this point but with caveats. I am sat on Fastorslow (25/1) which i backed straight after last years GC. He was running perfectly fine and nicely positioned when JJ Slevin slipped out of the side door and have Fact To File rolled up quite nicely albeit at 4/1 but the liabilities are very small and the rewards are very good with those two. 3 others i have in the mix that sit just behind the leading group are Gerri Colombe 12/1, Monty's Star 25/1 and Il Est Francais 14/1. Gerri and Monty will be aimed at the race and both certainly are stayers as well as being good jumpers. I think Monty's Star will improve heaps this season, whether that is GC standard though is another question. I am willing to forgive Il Est Francais debacle in France because we all saw just how good he looked previously and Noel George has the race in mind if i remember rightly. I might just keep all 5 right the way up to the race and see what happens.
Inowthewayyurthinkin and Corbetts Cross have had a little bit on with a view to seeing how they are campaigned and will take action as the season progresses and.........
Stay Away Fay couldn't go unbacked at 80/1. If the Gold Cup is the target then he stays in the team regardless of what happens because at 80/1..... why not
I want to get Galopin Des Champs onside as a single but i am hoping that him and Fastorslow meet again first and he get's beat again then i will make my move. If GDC wins then i will look at the other bets i have for the race and see where i can get some back with a view to getting GDC probably rolled up. I do have GDC with Con Hill and Teahupoo in separate doubles and i might just end up rolling with that.

Hi lads, hope your all having good summers, I’ll be back on here more regular come October.
Just popped on here to ask about singing banjo, road to Cheltenham stated he’d passed away, but apparently it was an error from HRI? Does anybody have any solid info on this and how can a horse be recorded as dead when he isn’t?
Really hoping he’s okay as he’s my favourite horse in training!
