Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Yea. They'll declare Banbridge and then pull him Thursday morning in that case. Hope not.

All I want is no sudden changes due to downpours combined with over watering.

    • Not sure where to post this but I'm looking for pub recommendations in the Winchester area.... Some friends and I are there for Gold Cup Day and we would love somewhere nice to enjoy the racing. I'd like to about "sports pubs" if at all possible.

      Thanks all!

When is the next Declararion stages for the novice races?

            • This is on RP website in what’s on this week - Tuesday - Tuesday

With just two weeks to go until the start of the Cheltenham Festival, the weights for the nine handicap races at the meeting are published. This is a crucial time in the approach to the meeting with options firmed up and the markets for the key races becoming much clearer. How the assessors rate the Irish-trained runners will be a hot talking point.

Entries for the Glenfarclas Chase, Hunters' Chase and Champion Bumper at the festival are also published.

Flat fans also have plenty to savour as entries for the 2024 Derby are out on Tuesday afternoon. City Of Troy heads the ante-post betting at 2-1 for the Epsom Classic in June.

There could be Aintree clues on offer at Leicester in the 2m6½f hunter chase (4.35) where Cat Tiger, previously second in the Hunters' at the Grand National fixture, lines up. Gordon Elliott could also have a runner with Hardline. Action also comes from Catterick over jumps and Southwell on the Flat.

              • Was at Kempton Saturday people happily being allowed to take their drinks whereever they want including perching on the rail different I get because the horses come down the chute at Cheltenham but why so draconian

I don't disagree, but they have to consider all racegoers and a group of a dozen collectively throwing their pints in the air because they had a team fiver on the winning favourite is at best annoying, at worst the catalyst for confrontation.
I don't have the answers and I'd suggest that keeping all 68 thousand people happy is impossible.
I've never done Royal Ascot and it's been a few years since I did the York Ebor festival, how do other courses manage peak crowds ?

Agreed, It doesn’t bother me either way but it seems a bit absurd penning everyone inside a small cordon in such a large crowd. Doesn’t seem to be a problem at Royal Ascot

                          • Not a dig at anyone just an observation, can we keep any price chat to the odds movement thread please.

Threads will just be clogged up for the next week with no real discussion other than movements in price.

                            • Seems to have been a fairly dry weekend in Cheltenham and all I can see for the next week is small amounts of rain. What's the betting this time next week we'll be obsessed with the forecast.

Think there is usually a designated post for it, so all the weather watchers can fill their boots in there?
