Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • JP has had wicked luck with his best Festival horses. 4 potential winners confirmed OFS and ADTS possibly missing March as well. He deserves a massive change of luck !!

I think Lobos should open an exclusive VIP samaritan phone line "for the obscenely well off but unlucky and a bit sad for a bit "

You could charge ten grand per minute.
Daft as it sounds, you'd probably make a fortune.

          • Just watching Dineen again on UTA.
He's so lucky he lives in modern times. And has other people and a civilised society to look after him.

I don;t think I've ever seen a man who can be so sure and bullish about something, only to have the opposite view the next day.
He should learn to have a balanced view from time to time.
I did like his bullish opinions but it's now getting daft, and even though it's entertainment the guy professes to be a pro gambler.
            He's a fucking lunatic.

            • Tbf he is very funny

I used to watch upping the ante to see if gavin Lynch had any interesting angles

It's basically a comedy racing review show now

I like him and also find him funny.
But he's mental and his opinions are often so strong with rarely any balance, it just makes him look mental when he completely reverses his thoughts.
His apparent lack of thought around price/value is also bizarre. It amazes me he's made a living.
I know some punters can be boom and bust, much like some of the best gambling personalities ever.
But the ones who profit over the real long term tend to have a more balanced and stable mindset for sure.

I liked the episode last season about a month out from the festival with Paul Nicholls where they asked him to give them a winner for Cheltenham and he said "Constitution Hill"

                      • He’s very funny it’s good entertainment compared to previous which was also shite for tipping but yea you couldn’t be following his strategy. I don’t know how he gets ahead some of the decisions he makes. The Hewick lay was awful.

I don’t understand any strategy that involves laying at 12/1. Crazy risk for very little reward. He seems much better at picking winners in the 2.45 at Musselburgh than he does Grade Ones or big handicaps.

On the wider point, I think he’s great. Doesn’t take himself too seriously and is often keen to point out he’s no tipper. If you know he’s got a polarised opinion on things, you know to dilute any view he offers.

I wonder what the general feelings are about who is a better ante post punter out of JD and GL?

We all know FJ is better than either, even when picking a book builder to go head to head

GL for me as I'm certain he's a lurker here so would be picking up on all the knowledge

                              • Anyone else noticed 365 chopping and changing prices every few hours?

Sometimes on horses that they changed previously as well.
