    Thanks Jim.

Hopefully someone else on here can do similar in 2024!

Whereas since your big payout actually made the headlines, there's every chance if they banned you then you'd make the headlines again, "Cheltenham punter receives huge payout, then gets banned for winning". They might see it as bad publicity for not much gain, when in their mind it's probably unlikely that your going to do it again. If you manage to pull it off again, I don't think they'll be giving you a third go
That had crossed my mind too. It's very unlikely to happen again, especially to that scale, but I'll be trying

              • Disaster for Slate Lane after his win on Saturday. Great shame.

Emmet Mullins says SLATE LANE suffered a career-ending injury at Haydock on Saturday. "He's not completely out of the woods yet. He's had surgery and they have flushed the joint. We've done everything we can for him at this point and it's a case of trying to keep any infection at bay for the next week or so. "Once we can do that he should survive, but he has sectioned 50 per cent out of his tendon so the tendon won't grow back unfortunately. It looks career-ending."

                  • I never put on life changing bets, but happened to put one over the weekend
Problem is, I'm getting nervous thinking about "what would I do if the bet is waiting on one horse"

I know Faugheen had a few other bets that returned that day, but f*** me... I'd be bricking it. Do I cash out... do I hedge... do I let it run. I was in a position for high 4 figures a few years ago. I ended up cashing out, and it worked for me, but jesus.... and weirdly, its a horrible position to be in!!!!

Remember when Faugheens came in, I think I was more impressed he let it run instead of cashing out. #Bravemansgame

With how the game is looking like it's going in regards to people telling you what you can spend your hard earned money on and account restrictions I think the only thing to aim for is the big life changers with singles covering profit overall. Get the cash whilst it's slim but possible.

I went out on my sword in March, could've cashed but didn't. Not often you get one off a life changer. I laid it on BEX for a good amount to help.

Not often I attempt the life changers but when I do I always place the bet twice so have option of cashing one out if I get lucky enough to get close to landing one

                          • In the old ITV 7 days I picked 6 winners. Unfortunately my 4th leg let me down which meant I didn't even get a bonus for 6 winners. The loser was 2nd beaten a short head and was the shortest price of all the horses I picked. Never forgot his name.....House Guard ridden by the great Lester Piggott. He let me down for 36000 and that was 42 years ago.
