Yeah I don't think many of those out rioting and looting are people with any genuine care about the city, it's just an opportunity for them to steal some clothes and tv's, all in the name of "protecting" the city.

Yeah, when it happened in Birmingham over 10 years ago it was just a load of chavs stealing stuff

      • If there was ever a recurring trend anywhere across the world, wherever there is a spark, the skangers/chavs/lowlifes (insert local names for them here) will come out in the dark, attack the local police and loot and burn anything in close vicinity. The only shops not looted. Bookstores!!

If it happens anywhere else, sleepy old Ireland gets it 5/10/20 years later.

But more importantly. All eyes on the 12.55 Fairyhouse. Another forum favourite shows if he has been worth all our collected monies.

Hopefully he lays down the law

The racing media will be praying he's good as there are endless puns for headlines available

          • Just seen a post of Lydia Hislop sharing about the BHA looking to make changes after the recent non competitive races i.e 4 runner Arkle Trials etc.

I don’t follow the UK pattern changes with much thought but did the BHA not just do a huge overhaul of the race programme already? Is there even more races and meetings that need scrapping?

There's just way too much racing and they hardly scrapped anything, I think it was like 200 races or something which were scrapped

imo what should happen is we have a max of 2 jumps meetings a day 1 in the North 1 in the South and some days only 1 which could be held at Uttoxeter or something and get rid of Novice handicap chases as hardly any horses can even run in them and you just get embarrassments like that walkover at warwick

              • Stop letting horses be handicapped off their hurdles rating would be a starting point for me

                Force them into the races

Too many tracks and too many meetings for the horse population

Hard decisions need to be made and would put people out of jobs so likely wont happen

                  • Mister Policeman must be the only winner to be pushed out in price for a race.

that 8/1 previously on offer was ridiculously short for a talking horse.

True. I reckon he'll be backed in again though over the next few days to where he was.

                        Not sure about that.
Personally i would wait until his next entry, maybe look at wtaf offers.........if one wanted to get involved, or top up as in my case.

I’d say it’s partially done to decrease cash out values. Assuming it was one of them firms to move

All of the big firms pushed the price out, even Will Hill went back out to 12/1.

                              • Anyone know what’s going on with Barry the Butcher?

I saw he was on the out of the fez thread and cash out was greyed for me immediately after - but have just been able to cash out on 365 (for ballymore) as he’s back in the market?
