In theory they could take a seasons worth of antepost bets on Cheltenham then significantly reduce the t&c's on the eve of declarations or whenever beforehand, to whatever their traders feel like. And this presumably is somehow legal.
Any changes made to the max payouts on markets would be made in line with any rules and regulations in place by the gambling commissions.

Sounds like you’re talking to the Mumbai call centre, no offence intended, and you might be better off putting in a complaint which will get actioned by UK/Ire staff who presumably have a better understanding of gambling laws….

Just checked and
Betfair
Paddy Power
Have maximum Future Betting limits of
gbp 50,000
down from gbp 250,000
Utter disgrace.
A big firm offering titchy firm limits
Theres also the same rumours on Twitter that
Coral and Ladbrokes have cut antepost horse racing max payouts from a million to 100K
- I havent found that has happened in their t's and c's yet.
I doubt the new owners know or care much about UK/IRE antepost horse race betting, as maybe its not much of a thing in their own country.
Looks like you can still win a million quid off them by backing after decs, so I will be aiming to do that on Cheltenham Festival week.
Keep in mind that 50K Max will most likely mean max payout on settlement day, for bets placed under this reduced limit
So if you then load up lots of 50K payout bets with them, all ending with a Friday Cheltenham Festival horse, then the payout may end up a max 50K, even if you've won well over 50K across several different bets, placed at different times."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

….presume ‘backing after declarations’ means final declarations?
