Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Who has comeback injured ? Lossiemouth ? Ashore Diamond ? Echoes In Rain ? Gala Marceau ? Zenta ? He has a fair few Mares to pick from.

Ah. Thanks. I got the wrong end of the stick between the quotes from Lobos and RoadToCheltenham. Rookie mistake. For what it is worth I am keen on both Love Envoi and Gala Marceau for 2024 Mares Hurdle. And both still good prices.

              • It's worth keeping an eye on any market moves over this next couple of weeks, They can be significant. It's worth considering that Paul Ferguson and Mark Howard go to print about now, and a privileged few get sight of their work. Smarter bookies will watch certain accounts and react as horses are backed.

I wouldn't be surprised of either or both publications know what plans and thoughts are for Lossiemouth and Gala Marceau for example. So that cut for Gala Marceau may well be connected.

The work on Racing Post and Sportinglife stable tours (and others) will have started too, so we are about to enter silly season, with cuts for the smallest things.

I'm mostly done with the rump of my antepost books now, and much prefer to be at this time of the year. Plus I'd hope all my better multiples for the season are already done. I'd say those making books would want to do any tidying up they plan to do about now.

Dandrew99 has done as sterling job for a couple of years on regular price updates for FJ but he is taking a sabatical from betting and I assume for providing these updates.
It would be great if Dandrew99 is happy to continue doing this but if not is there anyone else who is able to take a lead in capturing and sharing price movement ?

I was actually planning on carrying on, but my laptop died which had a lot of the tracking stuff on there, and stupidly I didn't back it up. I've had a few attempts at fixing it myself without much luck, so I'll give in and take it to a repair shop at some point. But for now I would assume I won't be doing those updates!

                    • SALVADOR ZIGGY given a 152 rpr for Killarney.

Toss Again got 135 as opposed to the 145 he notched up for his Galway handicap win.

I’d say those figures are about right with a career best rpr for Ziggy indicating he’s moved into the right ball park for a potential NHC winner.

                      • Won't really mean that much to some of you but the Pertemps Hurdle series calendar for the UK races has been published. One thing to note: the Sandown qualifier in February is worth ?100,000 (same as the Final at Cheltenham) again this year:

                        Q1 - Cheltenham on 28th October - ?25,000
                        Q2 - Newbury on 9th November - ?22,000
                        Q3 - Aintree on 11th November - ?30,000
                        Q4 - Kempton on 13th November - ?22,000
                        Q5 - Market Rasen on 23rd November - ?30,000
                        Q6 - Sandown on 9th December - ?25,000
                        Q7 - Carlisle on 17th December - ?30,000
                        Q8 - Wincanton on 26th December - ?25,000
                        Q9 - Warwick on 14th January - ?30,000
                        Q10 - Huntingdon on 27th January - ?25,000
                        Q11 - Sandown on 4th February - ?100,000
                        Q12 - Musselburgh on 5th February - ?25,000
                        Q13 - Exeter on 12th February - ?25,000
                        Q14 - Haydock on 18th February - ?30,000
                        Q15 - Chepstow on 25th February - ?20,000

Will add the Irish dates in here once all confirmed. Believe Sax has been onto HRI but they've been in full on HMS Santini mode.

Green Book (winner at Sandown) was 4th. Call Me Lord (2nd at Sandown) was 20th.

The 3rd and 4th horses from that race didn't run at Cheltenham.

If you are able to get an update on the well-being of both Delta Work and Galvin - that would be very much appreciated. And see if all is well with the pair after Aintree last season.

Will try my best. I’d say they are expecting huge numbers to turn up tomorrow so will see how it goes.
