Joe chambers at York this week. Vauban on song and not running again before quarantine.
gaelic warrior well and nothing decided. Just as likely to go chasing as hurdling
Wow!! That's a big spanner in the works. Throws everything apart in the Novice Chase puzzle.
Vauban though.......he just wins doesn't he?? Think he'll finally get Willie his Melbourne Cup.
In slightly less sexy news, Strong Leader likely to stay over hurdles this year. Looked every bit a chaser to me and one I had pegged as a Turners outsider, so very surprising.

Afterwards, the winning jockey said: "It was very straightforward and he jumped great. I couldn't have been happier with him and it was a fairly simple task.
"He has a bit of class about him, isn't a slow horse and is effective anywhere from 2m4f up to three-miles."

May end up BANC horse if he continues improving. Could be worth a saver.
Polished round of jumping from Salvador Ziggy and great to see him run so well on soft ground which is what he may well face if her runs in the NHC on Day One.
It was soft for the Pertemps too - and that certainly didn't inconvenience him - but most of his form has been on a sound surface so good to see he is not ground dependant.
Imagine he'll be rated 150+ after today.
Gordon's had twice as many NHC runners to BA runners (14-7) in the last decade and has won the longer race 5 times while drawing a blank in the BA.
Hopefully, he will take the tried, tested and most successful option.
yup maybe, i kind of expected some quotes like he stays all day or we haven't got to the bottom of this lads stamina , i am a bit surprised at the speed remark and the shorter distances quoted , hmmmm
