Interesting stat in favour of Marine Nationale, should he go novice chasing.
The last 5 horses to win the supreme who went Novice chasing the following season were
Shishkin
Altior
Douvan
Vautour
Champagne Fever
All went on to win again the following year.
Vautour would have won the arkle easily had UDS not been around. won the JLT instead.
And Champagne Fever won the arkle before anyone questions it.

Request from a tech dinosaur....
Anyone know how to solve a technical problem with page 1 of my Festival diary?
I'm talking about the first page of my diary which has a blue background.
For the latest few days I've been pressing the edit button (as normal) and adding new bets to my diary.....and then pressing save as usual.
But the new bets don't show on the screen for page 1.
However, when I then press the edit button again and go into page 1 the new bets show up.
I've been through this same process several times now and the result is the same.

Really trying to get some direct comments from trainers/owners for the new season - have spoken to Ruth Jefferson about Sounds Russian and Jamie Snowden about You Wear It Well today.
Ruth: He is still out in the paddock at the moment. He will be x-rayed in early October & a plan made - assuming he can return to training.
Jamie: She has schooled well over fences, but we’ve yet to plan which route we’ll go with her this season, as it’s quite tempting to follow the mares hurdle route.
^ Appreciate nothing groundbreaking here but really hope the new approach takes off as the RTC page nears 30,000 followers and hopefully will have one or two nuggets for FJ in time.

A little more substance to You Oughta Know’s Galway run with Toto Too going one better at Killarney. Won with more in hand than the bare distance too. Looks another good sort for Fahey to nurture over hurdles.
Filthy aftertiming & equally filthy rule 4 but landed another decent rollup onto Mirazur West in the process!
