It has a brilliant French section as well as an unraced bumper horses and GB & Irish point sections so provides a great cross section of novice hurdlers and bumper horses. Rich Ricci and Joe Chambers featured last year and they nominated their horse to follow which is where Lossiemouth came from.

Yeah it's usually a pretty useful read. Although it did put me off a horse named Constitution Hill a couple of years ago

Not sure if I'll be able to do much AP this year with bookmaker restrictions, but I think I'll still get OJA. It's a tradition at this time of year
Thanks for the heads up IIMY. I only looked at his website a couple of days ago to see if he was taking orders yet, so it must have literally only just gone on sale.

        • I couldn't get a replay of Wilmount's latest run as not on Racing TV replays so what's the interest with him? Seemed to beat some donkeys in his 2 races over 2m and form not franked by the ones behind. Did he win really easily? And is he a Supreme or Ballymore type? f there's somewhere else I could watch his races please could someone point me in the direction. Cheers

You should be able to watch on Attheraces. Ones which aren’t in Racing TV usually are.

            • Sportinglife provides replays for both channels.

2nd from his debut hasn't done too bad, considering the ease Willmount won but the rest do give a very poor look.

Giving a lot of weight away 2nd run and a higher RPR but not as impressive visually and the form look pretty dire second run though.

Henderson likely to see a bunch of improvement and 50/1 though. I'm almost tempted

As I've said before, plenty of Willie's Bumper horses beat donkeys early doors and it doesn't seem to stop them progressing through the ranks. Yes he won both races comfortably and the second race giving lumps of weight away. He was entered up for all the top Festival Bumpers but was purposely saved for this coming Novice Hurdling campaign. As for Willmounts Festival destination I've no idea but that will become clearer once we see some entries.

                • Re: WillMount, I’d give the spud race a speculative nod personally.

Along with 90% of Willies Champion Bumper runners!

You Outghta Know: Ballymore (if his run on Sunday wasn’t his true ability)

                  • Also I’m guessing massively against the grain in here that Ballyburn will stay at 2m next year if unbeaten. His free going relentless galloping style lends itself well to Clonsutton’s preferred tactics in the race. Can see him operating much like Appreciate It did.

I think we’ll see Willie’s cards a bit earlier this season too given we’ve just had the wettest July on record in Ireland. Gordon won’t be get the early start he’s had in recent years.

                    • Willie's winter horses were due in at the usual time so it will still be November before most are ready to go.

At least theres potential for it to be November this year. The dry ground last year seemed to delay some until nearer Christmas of memory serves.

                        • Trouble is that the ground dries out so quickly at this time of year. Cork on Monday was good to yielding, good in places, watered.

                          • That's true. But at least the water table should be reasonably high as a starting point. I remember last year and a few years back where deluges of rain drained straight through for weeks.

                            • A fairly big move (at this stage of the year anyway) for Impaire Et Passe in the Turners, matched over six hundred quid at 5/1.

Of course, it could be nothing, or it could just be linked to the likelihood of Constitution Hill staying over hurdles, I'm not sure, but sharing it anyway.
