Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I don't have many of his on my radar for 2024 but I'm interested in an ex-PTP recruit called Captain Bellamy to possibly give PN another decent shot at the AB. He may not be a hurdler but he's one I'll follow in seasons to come when he goes chasing.

BMG will follow the same path as last season, they might ride him differently in the Gold Cup, but admits GDC will be very difficult to beat .

Frodon will go Badger Beers and Portman Cup and then be retired.

Pic D'Orhy probably the same route as last year, but will get a King George entry.

Greaneteen Haldon/Schloer and then probably up up in trip.

Stage Star probably starts in the Paddy Power with Monmiral.

Knappers Hill, Hermes, Stay Away Fay, Tahmuras, Golden Son, Monmiral, Outlaw Peter probably the main novice chasers. Hermes not the biggest, but 'very athletic'.

Complete Unknown will go for the Ladbroke - likes him a lot, but needs it soft.

He's also got Ginnys Desting (Lacey), Mofasa (Scudamore) and Washington (Murphy) who go novice chasing.

Has around 50 for novice hurdling. Inthewaterside is the biggest horse in the yard and speaks highly in particular of him, Captain Teague, Fire Flyer, Farnoge, Wrappedupinmay, Tarras Wood and Larchmont Lass.

All the big money P2P recruits likely to be in bumpers for this season (Qubecois, Histrionic, Welcom to Cartres, Captain Bellamy, Joyau Allen). He's also got Farland who went off fav for the Land Rover bumper at Punchestown. Owned by Alfie and Neil Smith, who must have dropped ?1m+ over the summer.

Light on juveniles - Midnight Lion, Liari and Not Alone.

Farland - that's a new one for me and a very interesting purchase.

He can't have been cheap, but Getaway is rotten.

Feel free to pm the thoughts to me please EE. Like most I was a little underwhelmed yesterday but not overly disappointed considering he was giving a stone away to a potentially smart horse who’s trainer is in flying form.

YOK did look a little flat I thought it may have been down to the sticky well trodden ground at Galway on day 7 but happy to hear any other suggestions.

I stayed in the Two Rivers Lodge (Marstons Pub next door) near the course for that meeting last year. Not bad, and an easy walk into the course. I've rented a house this time round, again not far from the course. I love getting to the meeting. It really feels like the start of the National Hunt Season, and the first Cheltenham Meeting is only a couple of weeks away then.

Talking of which my membership has already arrived in the post. Which is very early for them. Usually I'm getting into late September wondering whether it's going to turn up at all!

I'm definitely curious. I had him down as a Bartlett horse and I've taken a small position. If there's something that would influence that decision I'd obviously be keen to know.

Big, strong chasing type. Will start off in Bumpers.
