Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

For me, when I back antepost, I never expect it to be there if/when I need it, and bet those I hope never to need Cashout on.
(Sometimes that doesn’t go as planned of course)
That's the only way to be.

We probably have an advantage over younger punters who have only ever known internet betting in that all these bonuses and extras like cash-out and free bets were just not available in our younger days when it was the betting shop, the telephone, on course or nothing.

Imagine thinking you could cashout your bets in the 1980s

      • Well Kinbara made that look VERY easy so I imagine the 50s in the AB will be gone.

You'd hope he'd be beating trees like that, fair play to the bookies for not cutting off the back of that.

We all know there's no point backing anything AP for the Potato race. Something will come out of the woodwork yet again in March.

True enough. Taken the 50s anyway but sceptical given the easy win was a four horse grade 4 race 8 months out from the festival as evidence....

                    If he's 50's come March he'll have a chance

Has anyone made a good case on here for it? I'm just not seeing (nearly) 4miles on breeding at all. Surely one for the Turners or RSA if he goes chasing, in fact he seems a much better bet for the former than Good Land.

….I think there was a bit of discussion in this months Yankee thread. Somebody suggested BANC & then others thought more of a NHC runner. He was 33-1 but PP have given him a haircut.

Danny Mullins describing Lawlors win in very Soft ground....

“I’d say tactically the race didn’t work for Champ Kiely in Fairyhouse. We’re back to what he’s good at today and I’d say the step up in trip was a help as well, and soft ground.'

Most impressive over 2m 5f at Galway as well. Also travelling really well over 3miles in PTP on soft/Heavy ground when falling 3 out.

Described as a Stayer by Willie after his Ballymore 3rd. Two of Mullins NHC winners have previously been placed in the Ballymore.

                            Willie after Ballymore....

"Champ Kiely surprised me by staying on so well. Danny (Mullins) said he hung terribly down the back, we'll see if he had a problem, but he's another who will make a nice chaser down the line."

                            Stayer baby.

There was a suggestion of going better right-handed, wasnt there?

They did say he hung right at Cheltenham yes but that hasn't stopped Willie running others with that tendancy at the course again and again so I wouldn't be worried. It wasn't obvious anyway? It's also another reason why I fancy him more over the NHC distance as I think it could be more of a disadvantage in a Turners or Branch where things will be happening that much quicker. I think he's slightly below the required level of those two races anyway.

Must say I'm a little surprised he's been chopped 13 points by PP for the race. Somebody must like him or he's been tipped up somewhere?
