I believe he was doing more than just placing bets and cashing in on offers, from what I've seen.

He did all the hard work with getting multiple identities and accounts open, however he fell down in claiming back money for losing bets (very naive and silly IMO). I liken it to being successful in multiple robberies, however you continue to use the same getaway car each time, which was registered in your name. He was done for card payment fraud, not actual identity theft/fraud. Anyone using accounts in other peoples names can now breathe a huge sigh of relief!!Last edited by PresentingPercy; 24 April 2023, 12:45 PM.
