Made a profit of about 1.5k in the last couple of weeks on bet365 from various different bets, so have today received a message on my account telling me that I am now restricted and cash out is no longer available to me

i was under the the impression that 365 was one of the better bookmakers around and weren’t as ridiculous as others when it came to this sort of thing, does that mean if I bet on ladbrokes instead that I’ll be banned if I win 500 quid?

Restrictions are bullshit and shouldn't be a thing unless you have gambling problems but winners don't suit their business model of wanting losers only and exploiting problem gamblers despite what they say and their posts about safe gambling. Unfortunately we have nothing that stops restrictions.

I've found SkyBet to be the worst personally.

I have the trifecta with 365 of limited stakes, no cash out concession and no multiple bets.

I don’t know many with unrestricted 365 accs, mine lasted a year or so, one I used through a friend lasted a few months and was gone, both were winning accs but not massively, nowhere near the sort of numbers that would raise an obvious flag.
Another poor bookmaker, infact they are generally all poor apart from the exclusive member ones but they’re invariably only after larger players and then you’re into affordability territory, it’s near impossible and overseas options are sadly the only obvious way forward for many and that saddens me because of the impact that has relating to levy implications…

I was always expecting the restrictions to come eventually, I know the last thing they want is people who place winning bets sometimes. Was just slightly surprised at how little it took to get shut down by them since their a big name bookie, but that’s the current state of affairs I guess.

I have now been told that I am no longer aloud to place any bets at all, not even the 1 quid bets I was restricted down to, due to “the way I went about my business” or something like that. As far as I’m aware the way I went about my business was placing relatively small stake bets on horses at the prices that they offered me, I guess that’s frowned upon

I’m happy in a way, at least you know your doing something right when you start getting restricted, it’s probably not a good sign for a betting strategy if you bet for years and have no restrictions with any bookie, so that’s a silver lining I suppose. Think I’m going to start placing more bets using the exchange in order to prolong the lifespan of my accounts, a lot of the bets that I place can be done on the exchange anyway without any inconvenience to my betting strategy, and I’ll just use sportsbook when it’s absolutely necessary for extra places/cover bets etc.

I think they're the Grade 1 entries that are out at the moment. As you say, there's a good few more bumpers throughout the week
