Don't see anything wrong with what he said at all

Agree with what he said, that his half sister winning a few minutes later and her being called brighter days ahead was sadly poetic

    • Aye, there's nothing wrong with what he said there in fairness. Reasonable take on it, and trying to move forward positively is always best for all concerned.

Think when you get yourself pictured taking a phone call sitting on a dead horse you've kind of fucked your chances of saying anything right though. So can't blame people too much for seeing the negative.

Really man? I dunno maybe it's how we as individuals pick up on words, body language etc but he looks gutted and trying to put a brave face on. Imo he's gutted and rightly so, ive spoke to him, joey and connections over the last year or so and they loved him to bits and I'm sure it's a hard time for everyone involved with him. Not having a go at you, but more so the twitter brigade, wise up! It's the cruel side off "OUR" sport and no need to give anyone ammunition over it. Gutted for everyone concerned.

        • I’m not sure I agree with them asking about recent fatalities live on air. Are they going to hunt down all the connections of any fatalities on Grand National day? Gordon, the owners and whole yard will be distraught but those emotions often don’t come through in the heat of the moment like that, or get suppressed. Overall I think it was an unfair situation for them to put Gordon in. It’s a bit like when they occasionally interview beaten boxers, they’re not in the right place to discuss it and it should be left alone for another time.

              • Fairyhill Run @ 100+ on the exchange and 66/1 EW with 7 places is interesting in the Irish Grand National IMO. Her record over C&D is solid, finishing 3rd by 6L carrying 10-9 in 2021, then 4th by 11L carrying 10-4 in 2022. From a place perspective at massive odds I love that. She runs off 10-3 today with Mike O'Connor taking off 5 and I think she has an excellent place chance. Her first effort over C&D came at 6yo where she raced from the front, but surrendered a lot of ground by travelling wide throughout. Her second effort came on properly soft ground which I don't think she liked. She likes to race prominently and has jumped the last either in front or upsides the last twice at Fairyhouse. Back on yielding ground with a decent claimer, I think she has a decent chance of hitting the frame and with winners in recent years of 150/1, 40/1, 20/1 etc, I wouldn't put anyone off throwing a few quid on the exchange on her to win at a triple figure price. I think loads at the top of the market can be opposed given the tough races they had at Cheltenham. The other horse I've backed, which might seem contradictory given my last comment, is The Goffer @ 30's to win. I love horses by Yeats and I thought he ran well in the Ultima all things considered.

                      Trends say you need

                      3 mile winner
                      Right handed winner
                      Rated under 144
                      Fairly unexposed over fences

The main 3 I can see that fit that are

                      Stumptown
                      Angels dawn
                      Panda Boy

Iv dutched the 3 of then

Bit worried the first two had hard races in the kim muir

I like to think I have a good record (4 of the last 6)although usually play 4.

I genuinely can't see past Delta Work, carrying less weight than last years 3rd place, ran a better and less taxing race at Cheltenham (imo) and the previous points showcase he handles the distance and fences.

CR is well in but on a line through Galvin DW is about 10lb well in aswell.
