Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Agree, and the ITV opening show seemed like a long advert with a few racing snippets thrown in.

Hate all that stuff as well as the fashion crap.

      • My wife has just tested positive for covid, and so instead of travelling up tonight I’m heading back home to look after her and the kids. I mean, family comes first, but to say I’m gutted wouldn’t be doing my feelings justice right now.

Sorry I won’t be able to say hi to people, but hope everyone has a smashing time.

Just going to go and find a corner to cry into…

        • Is it worth having a Tuesday thread for those of us not attending? Some where to put all those "wow what a race!" comments.

          • Yeah just came here to say - where is best to put live commentary as the day goes. Here or new thread?

That’s gutting mate, feel for you. Of all weeks! Hopefully a few winners will ease the pain!

I feel your pain Mighty although I haven't spent the money you have getting there, I always take the Tuesday off from to work as a social event with some friends but instead this year I'm looking after my 3 year old because he's poorly.

Double blow, but like you say, family come first, for sure.

All the best to you and your wife mate

                • I don’t know enough about it, but were the times as if it was soft all day today or did it get near good to soft at the end. It does seem like Cheltenham dries A LOT quicker than anywhere else.

                  • Just having a think re Hendo horses.
Jonbon did not jump as well as he can, Marie’s and Epatante did not perform as they can.
Aside from the superstar who is just a phenomenon, not good yesterday.

                    • Have to agree re Henderson. In the end he had 3 in a 9 runner Mares Hurdle. 6th, 7th & 8th. Nothing obvious today, but apart from Captain Morgs in the Pertemps which has a chance, his week is now all about Shiskhin and Luccia who both have very strong favourite profiles. I wonder if Shiskhin may even ease in the betting?

                      • If they’d switched and races were exactly the same I think Impaire et Pass? would have won the supreme and Facile Vega would’ve won the Ballymore

                        • Gordon has dropped 1.2m in the sales tonight. Browns', KTDA, Moran's and one to be confirmed by the looks of it.

                          • Has anyone attended 3 or 4 days at Cheltenham. I’ve watching all from the couch or the pub and I’m knackered. For the ones that did, I salute you.
Does anyone know if it was a sell out for first 3 days? Know they were blaming the strikes for less people, was not sure if the tickets were actually sold? Just curious.

                              Blogger tweeted these figures

Tuesday - 60,284 down by 8,283 on last year Wednesday - 50,387 down by 14,044 on last year
Thursday - 62,429 down by 11,325 on last year

They put a cap on attendances but not sure what the cap was.

                              • Pretty sure the cap was 65k.

On the back of it there was a marked rise in prices which I don't expect to ever be reversed but I'm sure that was the biggest factor
