Facile Vega run was disappointing, horse was wild in the parade ring and start, then set off at a million miles an hour and blew up.

PT still took home some prize money for the Mullins camp you’d expect better team support and less public scoldings

Danny is a class act at the moment too
I don't know if I agree with this....

If you make a mistake, are you not allowed to be called out for it? Surely after near 15 years Willie knows how to motivate PT?

I think you're projecting yourself into the position, when really, you're not a world class jockey or trainer.

I think Paul Townend will take it on board, realise he's so lucky and do whatever the feck he can to raise his game.

If Willie came out and 'defended' him, will that help them get more winners? Abso-fucking-lutely not.....

Call a spade a spade, Paul was shit, call him out! He's riding a fucking horse at near 35 miles an hour over a fence, he can deal with a bit of critisism surely?

If noty, doesn't deserve the gig. Ruby could handle it.... as The Rock says, Know Your Role, and Shut Your Mouth!

    • Feeds into my view, not to take the DRF results too literally. I'll be getting FV onto more multiples now at these prices.

Just because someone was born on the same clump of land I was, doesn't mean I need to follow them tribally surely?!

Imagine that, not liking Roger Federer because he isn't British, so you have to support Murray instead (great guy BTW)

        It's a fucking nonsense though.

I remember watching F1 with my Dad as a kid, loved Damon Hill, and when Schumacher(spelling) knocked him off my Dad went mental.... in hindsight, that's just bananas.

Nothing to be proud about being English, unfortunately.

Xenophobia is my favourite thing to call people out on though. Come at me bitches.
Really don't understand this post at all, you'd be a anti-English as a general rule?

I understand not preferring a sportsman/sportswoman or horse etc just because the are English/British.

But to be anti-english as a general rule is just the same surely as only supporting or preferring someone because they are English/British?

Fwiw I feel there's a lot to be proud about to be English just as there is for any member from any other nation. Its not about being from a "clump of land" its about being part of and growing up in a certain culture with maybe differnt values and ways of life etc.

I don't think it's that hard to understand. I feel it's embarassing to align to something because of something you had n control over... (as in, born on the same land)..., therefore, I would actively see where this bias had happened and look to go agaisnt it for my own benefit.

If you're genuinely proud to be British, then fair play. I imagine though I'd not get on with you outside of horse racing.

I'm only anti-English in a way that negates the over-importance it gets. My point is, I literally don't like anyone more or less because of what country they're from. I can't sum it up any better than that.

So it's embarrassing for anyone from any country, or place to be patriotic. Yes I imagine if you're that closed minded that you wouldn't get on with someone just because they have a differnt view to yourself on one aspect of life then yeh it would more than likely be hard to get along.

I never had you down as a radical lefty tbf from your posts and the vids you have done but you learn something new every day hey.

The anti-English thing just sounds mad to me like, you're saying you don't like or dislike anyone more or less from any country, but you are anti-english, so less likely to be in favour of something just because it/he/she is from the same country you are, just to show how much you like everything/everyone the same.

I feel like your response didn't factor in what I said?

I suppose it's just me getting annoyed at people who blindly like things or support them because of it? I feel I've made it pretty clear though.

I don't think I'm close minded at all, people can have whatever view they like....but you'll surely know me well enough to know that I believe opinions can be wrong. Just because you "have an opinion" doesn't mean it's right. Let's use my fave, that Hitler's opinion was not right... not that we're at those extremes of couse, but just because someone is offended or has a different opinion doesn't mean we have to accept it.

Ultimately, for me, if you base ANY decision on where someone is from, it's flawed. I don't like anyone more, or less, because of where they're born. It's like loving Paula Radcliffe cos she's British. She's clearly not the best long-distance runner.

              • Danny Mullins 33/1 top jock at festival anyone? After the crap paul's put in this weekend and willie seemingly fuming at him could a switch in stable jock happen?

Amazing. Will defo let you know how we get on. Andy Dufesne wins the Grand Annual so there’s 1 I’ll have in straight away

Tbh Kev I thought about it, but I was really dubious about it after being sent the message asking myself 'why on earth would Willie not have him fully ready this weekend in a g1 at the DRF?' and I absolutely didn't want the responsibility on my shoulders of people adjusting their positions based on that message alone. I didn't act upon it due to being wary myself but in hindsight anyway, no horse would have got home with the pace he went off at!

This is an angle I really like. Does he even need to be stable number one? Amongst the novices, Willie has a larger number of very good horses than ever, but arguably doesn't have a standout. It's not inconceivable that Willie's number two horses win a number of races. Just a shame for Danny that the Double Green and JP have stable jocks.

                          • I see it's press day at Clossutton today. Stable tours will be within the week I'd guess. Shame in a way. I'd rather hear Willie's thoughts once the dust has settled on the DRF.

                            • DRF has helped shake up the AP market, well with what’s left of it

Supreme and Ballymore likely to have a few movements, with FV beaten. GW being mentioned for ballymore.

QM and Ryanair - where do they go now?

Honeysuckle running well enough to potentially warranty a run in the mares - what a race that’s turning out to be!

                              James D blowing up, BANC?

Wasn’t a great weekend for odds on fav backers and those that have nice AP slips from months back. However, this is opened up a few of the races.

                              • Post DRF I'd have a very negative view of horses that didn't perform well. People seem to think maybe just shunting everyone up in trip will work, but visually I thought in particular Blue Lord and JDB looked very poor, I'd be against them wherever they went
