  • I know he would have a few great chances but was his last winner not Chosen Mate in 2018?

Surely he’s had a good few quality horses to ride in the last 4 years to have added to the 24/25 he’s got so far at the festival?

Edit - absolute horse shit Craig, apologies, he won on Envoi 2020. Sky with some shocking info I believed

    • Yeah suppose the risk is he retires again/jacks back. I wonder if Davy would want to go out on a high now he has the chance again though. Don’t think I’ll take it anyway just seemed a bit overpriced to me

Yeah I think the young guns thing is a much smaller risk... if Gordon wanted them riding at Cheltenham then you'd assume he'd want them riding at the DRF to gain experience too. Seems to me that price is basically 6/4 that Jack isn't back in time for Cheltenham, whether that's value or not you'd have to ask a doctor

That is ridiculously good odds isn't it?

What are we missing Him not turning up? Not having the ride on Delta Work?
Likely to be on Galvin if he shows up, I'd have thought.

                With Keith on Delta Work?

                Feasible.

Probably works out better backing all his mounts at level stakes if he actually turned up too .... but I still might back it

Keith not have a fallout with Gordy?

                        • Not a Cheltenham question exactly, but I was looking at the racing for this weekend and was looking at the 13:50 at Warwick. A grade 2 worth ?31k to the winner and (again) a disappointing turn out.

Out of interest, how much would it cost to enter a horse here (does that change per meeting/race or is it a set fee?), what are the minimum ratings to enter (if any) a graded race and how much would 4th be paid? And is it possible to find out how much 5th would have been paid if entered?

                          thanks

It's been an emotive subject for a few years with some wanting them up very early and some wanting them up very late, once the DRF is out the way we should have a better idea of targets which will prevent some of the mass duplication we've had previously...
Thanks for doing this Ista. Would it be worthwhile including the entry criteria for each race on the front page according to the BHA Jumps Pattern for 2022/23?

Yes thanks, this has always been the intention but other the excellent work by SW we’ve failed miserably, the attachment will help for reference and simple copy/pasting…

                              • Stag horn may be a good bet for the big.hurdle race on Saturday, it's on a fair mark of 135 and going back to optimum trip of 2m 5f
