  • My first Cheltenham in 60 years where I have no interest betting wise, normally by this time I would be in 2k deep and building towards the big day, I was never a on the day player feeling the juice had all been sucked out, my pal offered to help me get on with his few remaining accounts but I would not dream of damaging his hobby.
I still love my racing and follow it religously as ever but I don't get that jumping the last feeling anymore even though I may not have an interest in that particular race, but, it was with an eye to the future that you had regards to future bets watching a race, now its just my sporting instincts that keep me interested and my love of the animals.
Good luck all and enjoy the betting side whilst it lasts.

It's the Festival entries for the Champion Hurdle, Mares Hurdle and Stayers Hurdle today so would assume that.

        • A couple of mildly interesting horses in an otherwise drab day. Certainly not suggesting to back either but it'll be interesting to see if a wind op and tongue tie help Joe Dadancer show what the markets expected last time out today at Donny and Willmount in the Donny bumper is fairly well regarded in a few of the numerous books.

He's one I'm looking forward to as well

Yes. He and Out Of Office were two of the better pointers that ended up with UK trainers outside the main players.

Gerri is a G1 winner, unbeaten and unexposed over 3m.
GDM has finally won a G1 over 3m looking pretty good without looking spectacular.
JDB, who ran a blinder behind KD over 3m over hurdles has just run to a debut RPR of 155 and could easily improve into the 160's for a step up in trip.
Thyme Hill won a criminally weak G1, but still ran to an RPR of 160. Same can be said about The Real Whacker - don't fancy either, but many do.
Classic Getaway looks pretty useful and Willie has quite a few that could step up in trip and unlock improvement.

Feels open. Love markets like this.
It looks as weak as pi$$ to me at this stage. GDM is favourite and he got spanked in it last season.

Absolutely, great first impression and it'll be good to see what the plans are going forward.

                          • Betfair cash out page is so odd. I appear only to be able to have a max of 70 available to cash out but over a 25% are suspended or greyed out. I have more than 70 with them though.

Is it normal from anyone's previous experience or is there a better place to see my potential cash outs?

                            • For anybody who might be interested in rare edition for cheltenham, it might be worth noting the horse he beat at kempton rubaud is entered for the betfair hurdle with a mark of 130

                              • Is it me, or is anybody else finding this season just seems really open still, much more than typical by this stage. Especially in the novice events/bumper. The Arkle looks set to surely be the highest quality renewal we have seen for a bit in terms of good horses AND a competitive race but many of the others have no stand out at all
