Yeah can easily see the similarities and was it you who steamed in on the Shunter that year?
usually just go 10 bar standard at this stage don’t they, Hilld had 12s that lasted less than a day but I’m not entertaining anything single digits in Jan!
Yeah.
Not on this year yet though, as it was safer to have multi races covered NRNB last time.
And it was a few weeks later than this and we knew more.
And the prices were better.
Not sure how you would access the information and how honest the information forwarded would be
But think it would be useful to have an “injury List” thread
Listing horse and type of injury,Roughly date of injury occurred
For Example,Horses with tendon injuries are a no no going forward for me
Muscular injuries should be fine with rest and so on
Small example of this would be I backed Imperial Alcazar Antepost for Paddy Power chase November meeting not knowing he had an injury
Luckily enough I found out on the Fergal o Brien stable tour read and was able to cash out
How many of us have backed a horse Antepost for Cheltenham not knowing they had a current injury ?

All of us, many times over, I would think
Its a key problem that the sport has compared to injury news on participants in any other sports.
Still seems to like to pretend to have a "Master and Servant" attitude to this information being only for owners and trainers in some stables. Wildly out of line with other sports that have large sums of money bet on them.
I dont hear of Premier League club owners, advising their "employed" Manager to not let anyone know about any injuries until the teams are announced an hour before kick-off.
Imagine the outcry from football fans, to that happening, particularly to those arriving at the stadiums to watch the games live.
Racing has so much to learn.
Also maybe a big dose of "we hope it will get better before the big target race, so we wont tell anyone"
If Ireland and GB had a rule within the sport that any injuries needed to be logged and reported to the HRI and BHA for any horses entered in
* Early Entry races (and not scratched yet), or
* figuring in antepost betting markets have to be confirmed and shared
......antepost life would be a whole lot better.
A big ask, of course...............but why cant go for a few Big Asks, rather than doing little to improve the image of sport, and helping punters staying with the sport too

Looked at Sandown racecard for Saturday and 1 horse stood out for the 3.35 was Palladium 50/1. 2/2 at Sandown loves heavy ground it seems. Only off putting thing is it's been off for a long time. But back down in trip when it last won, same jockey won twice on him, same track where it won, and same ground as it looks like its gonna piss it down on Saturday. Already put something on this if it shows up.

I was struggling to work out how Ballyandy was 12/1, I thought he’d be half that price now the ground has come for him…
Is Gaelic Warrior Ballymore the first victim of the Willie Mullins bingo saga of 2023? or are people just reacting to the antepost video circus?
I'm sure Ruby Walsh name checked him as his horse to follow through the season, would seem a little bit underwhelming if he were to run in a handicap. Although Willie will target a horse at any race he thinks he can win.
How I would love to be a fly on the wall at that stable.
I can safely say I've gone from feeling confident about my positions to being rocked in a day

Has something been said in an antepost video like??

That's the game for you. Honestly I wouldn't worry too much, alot can change in a day. Out of your control. I'm assuming you wish GWARRIOR for the ballymore, he could still end up there. Even if GCW wins on Sunday.

Depends what you watch, I was watching the Chelmental videos earlier and they were discussing Gaelic Warrior having a nice Handicap mark or even if he could be the Supreme horse, but just opinions at the end of the day.
No one from the stable has actually said anything to my knowledge.

Yeah I'm on Gaelic Warrior for the Ballymore, I have another dart 'Inthepocket' but might be one of the better outcomes should other races go my way.
I just used the win today and Fez for Irish point and Inothewayurthinkin for Ballymore pokes as a spot of cover. Although in an ideal world I'd just ignore the talk at this stage and hope my positions were still in tact come festival week

Thanks for this. Had a wee each/way nibble. Paul Kealy gave him a mention on What A Shout earlier, though I noticed that the price had dropped a fair bit before that show started. Best price now Hills at 20s (22s with boost), as low as 14s elsewhere.
