            • Think Graeme Roadway (Power Rankings..... whatever that means!!) is trying to upset a few with his latest instalment.......

'I wasn’t taken with many other chase performances and that includes Galopin Des Champs in the John Durkan. He won well, but beat nothing and remains a horse with an incredible amount still to prove for one who is so short for the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Dysart Dynamo beat nothing and just isn’t as good as he looks, Saint Roi won one of the poorest Grade 1s run all season, Blue Lord took advantage of a mistake by Chacun Pour Soi to look impressive but didn’t achieve much in beating Captain Guinness.

Conflated won one of the weakest editions of the Savills in living memory and has a cat in hell’s chance of winning a Gold Cup.'

              ouch !!

I have no idea what these Power Rankings are or how they are evaluated. Is it just his own rankings ?

                    • Paul Nicholls has confirmed both Bravemansgame and Hermes Allen will head straight to the Cheltenham Festival after their successes over the festive period.

Mr Aintree confirms Bravemans & Hermes both straight to Cheltenham.
                      Obviously Gold Cup & Ballymore.

                      • General moan - William Hill going entirely NRNB has made a complete mockery of their prices, and their initial Handicap offers are an absolute joke. (They should be offering two markets the same as Bet365 usually do).

The industry as a whole have been very greedy this year, but from my first review it's almost as if they don't want anyone to place a bet with them.

I said I was waiting until the day for handicaps, (exception of Captain Conby Pertemps, a graded horse clearly pot hunting) and this has confirmed it.

                          Agreed.
But we should all remember that as soon as NRNB kicks in all the value disappears, yes we get insurance of money back for a NR but taking single figure prices about horses for the most competitive handicap they will ever compete in makes no sense whatsover.
As you say, the terms on the day will be far better...

I think a lot of it is almost tongue in cheek, I really don’t like him one bit but his notorious rankings generate plenty of interactions on social media and ad clicks for RP

Cliche of no such things as bad publicity yada yada he’s a plonk

….and their TWAR market has obviously disappeared.
