  • I'm all for a bold opinion, and I'm also all for L'homme Presse not winning a GC to be honest, but that's just complete nonsense isn't it. Wouldn't back it at 1000/1...

Also ran a mid 160 RPR on good to soft hasn't he. So not even sure the ground comment is completely warranted. Undoubtedly prefers a bit of a cut but how often don't we see soft in the description at Cheltenham these days. 2/2 at the course as well, as has been said.

Wouldn't be my first pick but if anyone does fancy laying the 1000/1 I'll be in the queue.

Agreed pal. And I don't want to listen to any fence sitting! I just think the 1000/1 part might be a lie

I've just looked up L'homme Presse on Betfair (wasn't even aware what price he was before that tbh) and can lay at 17/1! Assume he's balls deep in that already (for the avoidance of doubt I know he's not)

        • Would be interesting to know who people on here feel is the biggest lay of the meeting of the fancied ones, even this far out.

I Have several I don't fancy at all ........ Elimay, Epatante (Mares Hurdle) would be at the top of my list if I did lay horses.

100% agree on Elimay. As many on here have stated, it's too early to be backing mares but I think Scarlett and Dove is better horse and only for Elimay getting weight this year at Cheltenham, S&D would have won.

            • Paddypower have added more cheltenham antepost races to their site. From looking I think Bumper, Mares novice and triumph have been added.

With you on Redemption Day. Reckon he's ground dependant so the Tuesday G/S or worse will be against him.

Not sure re AM. If Facile Vega is very good then he's pretty good.

                  Epatante......tick.

                  Shishkin......tick

                  • I don't think epatante will even run in the mares hurdle so she'd have to be right up there

I do not think she'll run anywhere. Reckon she'll be gracefully retired.

….not used the app for months, it was very unreliable.

"Last season’s Cheltenham Festival heroine is not back at the yard yet, she had a minor injury during the summer and will start training in the next few weeks.

She should be run by November/December and the Mares’ Hurdle is her big target for the season."
