I usually convert them straight into cheltenham bets after the comps finish each day.
i don't have a particular strategy with the roulette comps , but been picking up on those too.
Gives me a chance to do some " sillybets " . Plus some proper bets too. .
Free bets are a great way to make money if you put in the time and use them towards your Cheltenham bets. I make a log of about 100 bets I want covered for Chelteham, put them in a spread sheet and just top up each bet to get to the return price i want from that bet. Free bets really help me to constantly top up each day and stops me from betting more. I use my allotted own money on pay day and the rest of the month I use free bets and repeat this system each month. Not many people have the patience for free bets, but I've got myself into a daily routine with them. A ?1.50 each way bet most days on 20/1 + each way doubles really pays off in the long run and its not long until you can tick off that bet and move onto the next.

    • Absolutely 10000% confirmation - all bets you have with any bookmaker that are not settled are classed as ‘losing’ bets.

I had a random phone call from Skybet pre Xmas last year asking if I’d realized how much money I’d staked as ‘open bets’….I explained I was hoping they were ‘investments’ for future months (Cheltenham) and that my hope was I would profit from them. Skybet not only restricted my account on that date, but confirmed (when I asked why they were restricting my monthly allowance by 80%) that all open bets are indeed, classed as ‘losing bets’.

And of course, a few months later, I had turned a very healthy profit from them. I really wanted to phone them up and remind them of the phone call they made to me. However, whilst they still allow me to (strangely) make 3 figure bets on other sports (and not on horse racing), I still have my skybet account.

And it’s one I do not wish to lose - for love nor money.

Well, for the right kind of money next March, at least!

      • Thank's for that Info Bollinger , very useful to know.
As we were chatting about this here , i decided to check my A/P bets that i have currently.
Thankfully i'm below the Threshold mentioned above , so any A/p. from now on, i will monitor.
and bet's made in shop from then on . .

          • Gambling in games which their main demagraphic is children and teenagers won't have laws put in place to regulate it.

            Affordability checks anyone?

I would very much like to see the return of the Bruiser. Even better if they make them into ice lollies.

                            • Anyone else logged on to Ladbrokes today to find they've introduced an annual loss limit with job, salary etc... details requested? I barely use them so it's nothing along those lines.
